CUET Dress Code 2024: NTA will conduct CUET UG 2024 from 15th May. Candidates who will participate in the exam must follow CUET dress code 2024 to avoid any adverse situation during frisking.
- The exam authority has published guidelines for the upcoming CUET 2024 examination on https://exams.nta.ac.in/
- NTA will conduct the exam in hybrid mode from 15th May to 24th May. Registered candidates have to report to their respective test centres following the proper CUET dress code.
The exam authority believes in the sanctity of the examinations. Hence the officials of the conducting body set the guidelines to maintain uniformity among the candidates. Applicants must adhere to the NTA-prescribed dress code guidelines.

CUET Dress Code for Female 2024
Do’s
- Try Wearing comfortable clothes and half sleeve dresses are preferable
- Keep your foot accessories simple. Low heels or slippers will be a good fit. Avoid wearing shoes or heels to the exam centres.
Don'ts
- Wearing scarf, headgear may violate CUET UG dress code guidelines
- Abstain from using any metallic or plastic clacher, hair clips, hair bands at the test centres.
- Avoid wearing any accessories such as earrings, nosepin, finger rings, bangles etc.
- Refrain from wearing any covered or full sleeve clothes.
Note: For women safety the frisking of women will be arranged within a closed enclosure. Most importantly only women investigating officers will be in charge of these enclosures.
CUET Dress Code for Male 2024
Do’s
- Wear half sleeve light-coloured clothes for a smooth frisking process.
- Try to wear sleepers or sandals at CUET 2024 exam centres.
- For trousers, try to pick slim fit or elastic trousers for the exam day
Don'ts
- Avoid Wearing goggle, studs, or any metallic items
- Belts, wrist chain or neck chain are not allowed in the exam centre either.
- According to NTA guidelines, abstain from using full sleeve shirts.
CUET Dress Code 2024: Guideline For Special cases
- Candidates wearing customary cultural or religious objects or articles are advised to reach the exam centre at least two hours before the exams. Arriving early in such cases will make the frisking trouble-free.
Note : During the screening, if it is found out that candidates carrying suspected items with such articles of faith may get suspended or asked to leave the article of faith.
- Apart from that, if any deviation is needed in case of a medical emergency, candidates need to get permission from NTA before the admit card release.
Barred Items’ list at CUET 2024 Exam Centre
Below you will find the list of barred items that you need to keep in mind before CUET 2024.

| Electronic Device: Calculator, Watch (Analog and Digital), Camera |
| Communication Device: Mobile, Bluetooth, Earphone, Microphone, Health band, Pager etc. |
| Jewellery or Accessories: Earrings, Bangle, Pendants, Batch, Brooch, Bracelet, Hair pin, Anklet, Nose pin, etc. |
| Other Items: Water Bottle, Goggles, Belt, Wallet, Cap, Handbags, Any food items opened or packed, Colour water bottle. |
Note: No arrangement will be made for the candidates at the centres for keeping the belongings of the candidates.

There are several things that students need to carry at the CUET 2024 exam centres.

- Valid ID proof/ School ID
- Self Declaration Form

Ques. Can I wear Jeans in the CUET 2024 entrance examination?
Ans. Candidates are required to wear a light half-sleeve dress. At the same time Belts or any metallic items are not allowed. So if you are thinking of wearing jeans, try to avoid belts.

Ans. The CUET dress code for males and females is quite similar. Candidates from both genders are not allowed to wear full-sleeve clothes for the transparency in CUET exam. Hence candidates are advised to wear half sleeve and comfortable clothes to their respective CUET 2024 exam centres.
