CUET PG Exam pattern 2025 has been changed by NTA in compilance with UGC and the expert committee. As per the new changes, CUET PG 2025 exam pattern will provide 90 minutes per subject per paper for the test takers to take the exam. Previously the duration of the CUET 2025 exam was 2 hours (120 minutes) which was reduced to 1 hour 45 minutes (105 minutes) last year. According to the latest exam pattern the time period for the CUET PG 2025 exam has been further reduced to 1.5 hours (90 minutes). The number of questions asked in the exam remains the same (75 questions).
The medium of CUET PG question paper will be bilingual across all the streams i.e., Science, Humanities, Acharya, Languages, MTech and higher studies. Last year, 462,000 candidates participated, taking a total of 768,414 tests in CUET PG.

As per the CUET PG 2025 exam pattern there will be only 75 MCQs that will be asked from the mentioned CUET PG syllabus 2025. Each question in CUET PG 2025 question paper will carry 4 marks. There is also a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer. Unanswered or unattempted questions will receive no marks. CUET PG 2025 exam will be conducted online for candidates taking admissions to the PG courses like MSc, MBA, MA, MCA, MTech and many more offered at CUET PG 2025 participating universities.
NTA has removed the General Test which previously was to be opted with each paper. But now you can choose General Test paper as a separate subject. The comprehension part will be given in Hindi and English as opted by candidates during the registration process. Another crucial change is the selection of papers, you can choose up to 4 paper codes instead of 20 which was applicable till last year.
If you have opted for M.Tech/Higher Sciences, your question paper will be in English only. Acharya papers will be in Sanskrit except for Hindi Studies, Indian Knowledge System and Baudha Darsha. Unlike last year, the NTA will hold the exam in three shifts. Shift 1 from will be held from 9 am to 10.45 am, shift 2 from 12:45 pm to 2:30 pm and shift 3 will be conducted from 4:30 pm to 6:15 pm. NTA will conduct the CUET exam 2025 in 324 cities across India and abroad this year. However, the exam was held in 337 centers last year. CUET PG will be conducted in 24 cities abroad this year as well.

How many marks does a CUET PG exam have?
The CUET PG exam has a maximum of 300 marks. The exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Each question is worth 4 marks. For a correct answer, you get 4 marks and for an incorrect answer, 1 mark is deducted. For an unattempted question, no marks are given. The passing marks vary by category.
- The passing marks for the General category are 230–240
- The passing marks for the OBC category are 220–230
- The passing marks for the SC category are 210–218
Is 120 a good score in CUET PG?
No, 120 is not considered a good score in CUET PG. The total marks is 300 and any score above 180-190 is considered a good score. The good score also vary by category:
- General- 180-190
- OBC- 170-180
- SC/ST- 155-170
Is part A removed from CUET PG 2025?
Yes, part AA in CUET PG Exam hs been removed. As per the latest changes in the CUET PG 2025 exam pattern, the exam duration has been shortened from 105 minutes to 90 minutes per subject per paper and Part A (General Aptitude Test) has been removed.

CUET PG Exam Pattern 2025
- Students may select up to 4 paper codes as per their preferences.
- The total number of questions will be 75 in each subjects.
- CUET PG 2025 total marks is 300.
- Except for the language and Sahitya papers, the CUET (PG) 2025 is administered in both English and Hindi (Bilingual).
NOTE:
- During registration, candidates must carefully select either English or Hindi as their language during CUET PG 2025 Registration.
- The complete 75-question exam for Shiksha Shastri and Shiksha Acharya will be administered in Sanskrit exclusively.
- The Acharya courses will only be available in Sanskrit.

NTA has revised the CUET PG marking scheme this year. The total number of questions has been reduced from 100 to 75 and the total marks is 300. As per CUET PG 2025 Negative Marking, 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer. There is no mark allotted for an unattempted or unanswered question.
