More Focus on Real-Life Situations
The CUET PG 2023 exam had mostly direct questions based on formulas and theory. Many of these questions only tested how well students had memorized formulas and concepts. They did not check if students understood them deeply. However, the CUET PG 2024 exam was different. It included real-life situations where students had to use mathematical concepts in practical teaching.
In CUET PG 2024, instead of simply asking for the formula for standard deviation, the exam included real-world problems. Students were expected to analyze data, understand results, and make sensible decisions. As a result, the exam became more relevant for future teachers by assessing their ability to apply mathematics in real-world situations rather than simply recalling formulas.
Less Theory, More Application
The CUET PG 2023 exam contained primarily formula-based and theoretical questions. A large number of these questions only tested the memory of students with respect to formulas and concepts. They did not test whether the students comprehended them in depth. But the CUET PG 2024 exam was not the same. It contained practical scenarios where students needed to apply mathematical concepts to practical teaching.

In contrast, CUET PG 2024 introduced contemporary topics that are increasingly relevant in education today.
