There are lectures, 5 days a week so it feels so bad when you have to go to hall at 9 am.

IIT Goa is a newer IIT, but the college places a strong emphasis on placement. The college placement adheres to all guidelines and standards, and the quality is comparable to that of the IITs. The college placement committee is very important because it is fully responsible for inviting companies for placement and is successful in inviting good companies to campus. Our batch's highest salary package was around 35 LPA, and the average salary package was around 12 LPA. During the placement drive, over 75 companies came to our campus.

In aspects of enrollment quality and packages, India's IITs are very good. IIT Goa is of the same caliber as IIT Delhi, and it offers some of the best recruitment opportunities in India. According to IIT standards, IIT Goa offers the best placement. The college boasts a 100% placement rate. The college placement committee is highly dedicated and helpful; they offer us with a list of companies involved for placement so that we may prepare and choose organisations that match our interests. The members of the placement committee prepare us for interviews and assist us during the placement process. Our batch's highest package was 45 LPA, while the ordinary package was roughly 20 LPA. During the college's placement drive, companies such as Microsoft, Google, Paytm, Reliance, KPMG, Infosys, and Wipro visited the campus.

IIT Goa is a new age IIT but the college focus very well on placement. The college placement follows all the guidelines and standards and quality is as per the IITs. The college placement committee plays a very important role as the committee is fully responsible for inviting the companies for placement and the committee is successful in inviting good companies to the campus. The highest package for our batch was around 40 LPA and the average salary package was around 14 LPA. 75+ companies visited our campus during the placement drive.

The college placement records are very good. IIT Goa provides the placement as per the standards of IITs. The placement cell of the college is very professional and cooperative they not only provide us with the list of companies but they also help us and guide us in every round during the placement tenure. IIT Goa is growing IIT and for that, the college placement cell is putting lots of effort for students to get placed. The college was able to reach a 95% of placement record and why 95% because some students in our batch did not take part in the placement drive. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Paytm, Reliance, KPMG, Bosch, ABB, VMWare are a few companies that took part in the placement drives. The highest package for our batch was 35 LPA and the average package was around 19 LPA. The placement record of IIT Goa also proves that IITs are one of the best institutes regarding placement.

Remarks:

I choose this College because I want IIT tag. Good aspect is that, it's new college so teacher to student ratio is good. Bad aspect is that it does not have it's permanent campus yet so leads to certain restrictions on lab setup and etc.

I am a student of one of these new IITs- IIT Goa, which was established in 2016. IIT Goa is an Institute of National Importance, and is mentored by IIT Bombay. IITB supports the institution in every manner, be it for academics or infrastructure.

Here are some important features of IIT Goa-

Campus- The temporary campus is located in Goa Engineering College, Farmagudi, Ponda. It is around 29 kms away from Panaji city. The campus covers nearly 250 acres. It is green and beautiful, especially in the rainy season. There are plenty of scenic locations in and around the campus for photography enthusiasts.

Sports Facilities- IIT Goa shares its sports facilities with GEC, which include, a cricket ground, a football ground, a badminton court, a basketball court and a gym. The members of cricket and football teams visit the grounds in nearby Ponda city.

Academic Infrastructure- The college has ample lecture halls and tutorial rooms. The library is small. It contains course related books, a few novels and some poetry books. The novels and poetry books are in English and Hindi languages.

Other Facilities- The campus houses a branch of Corporate Bank, along with its ATM. There’s a general store which offers eggs, maggie, coke, and other such small items of daily need. Ponda City is just 3-4 km away from the college campus. A doctor is available at certain hours inside the college, and a van is available 24*7 for medical emergencies. The hospital is located nearby.

The college is under constant development and improvement, both academically and infrastructurally. IIT Goa is a good college with a lot of potential. You can ask some seniors from IIT Tirupati, IIT Bhilai and IIT Dharwad about their respective colleges.
