IIT GOA : A good page in my profile book.

Remarks :

I choose this College because I want IIT tag. Good aspect is that, it's new college so teacher to student ratio is good. Bad aspect is that it does not have it's permanent campus yet so leads to certain restrictions on lab setup and etc.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum was good and knowledge improver. A good student to faculty ratio and faculty knows each students. Faculties are highly qualified from reputed universities world-wide. There are two exams in a sem, mid term and end term. Exams are also creative Sometimes these are open book exams too.

Internships Opportunities :

For MTECH guy's, internship is allowed and we have to stay in the campus and have to focus on our research work

Placement Experience :

I will discuss here about M.tech Mechanical placement. Student are eligible from third semester for placement. There were total 10 students in our batch( 1st batch). 2-3 companies visited for placement. Average ctc was 5 lpa , might be due to covid issue and most of us got placed with 4-5lpa ctc.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee Structure is approximately 48k in first sem, and was 36k in second sem including mess and other charges. While rest of two sems have approximately 14k( Work from home). M.tech students gets 12,400 per month as per MHRD norms.

Campus Life :

As it's new college, so all the club's and fest are just 1-2 years old. But with the time I am sure that they will make progress and will achieve better position. Library is small but according to students strength its good and access for various journal is also provided by central library. There are many sports court like basketball, football, badminton and indoor sports TT and chess is there.

Hostel Facilities :

IIT GOA

Exam Structure :

GATE EXAM, 2019,SCORE ~600

Admission :

No, such things for admission. Just register on COAP portal using your GATE SCORE and there are multiple rounds of counseling for admission procedure.

Course Curriculum Overview:

So far the course is good but it does get difficult if you don't study at least one hour a day , you have to study and make notes yourself so that you can be prepared and answer all the questions and help the other students who have doubts in whatever they want

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is competency-based. The lecture schedule includes interactive sessions, practicals, clinical and group discussions. The learning process includes clinical experiences, problem oriented approach, case studies and community health care activities. Areas that could be improved include the implementation of small group discussions. Journal and logbooks should be given less significance. Interactions during the discussions should be given significance. Tests are conducted periodically and the timings are practical. The difficulty level of exams is easy to moderate level. The examination includes questions of clinical and practical relevance and not just theoretical knowledge.
