IIT Bhilai admission 2024 is now open for the MTech, MSc, and PhD programs. The institute accepts national-based entrance examinations for admission to these courses. IIT Bhilai offers a 4-year-long BTech program as its flagship course based on the JEE Advanced scores. Further, the cutoffs are released by the JoSAA counselling. IIT Bhilai offers a full-time BTech program for a duration of 4-years. The program is offered in four specializations namely – Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, and Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Candidates who have completed 10+2 with physics, chemistry, and mathematics and have at least 75% marks in aggregate are eligible for admission. Selection will be done through the JEE Advanced examination followed by JoSAA counseling.

The institute invites applicants for its M.Tech course under 8 different specializations. For selection, the candidate either has to have a valid GATE score or a CGPA of 8.0 in B.Tech, if done from an IIT. I liked the lack of population here which helps us learn more and participate more effectively
I liked Air conditioned hostels which were provided in this severe hot climate of bhilai.

Dislikes

Lack of sports culture in the campus due to studious students
Not alot but there's a bit of politics over here where the heads try to incubate their own people

Admission:

One need to crack JEE advance along with 75% in CBSE or top 20%ile in the state boards to get into this course. College provides us with mentors which help during the whole admission and registration processes.

IIT Bhilai stands out for its forward thinking curriculum which is designed to foster innovation and interdisciplinary learning. The emphasis on project based learning and research from the early semesters is particularly commendable.
The campus life at IIT Bhilai is vibrant and engaging , the students here are known to everyone the bond between phd and tech students is precious.with numerous clubs and societies catering to a wide range of interests from robotics to music.

Dislikes

The institute couldnt attract top companies for campus placements which offers both core technical fields and diverse sectors
Can improve its campus infrastructure with more greenery

Admission:

I got admitted here through the JoSAA counselling process which follows jee advanced scores and eligibility the application forms fees and dates are available on JoSAA webpage As an SC student, I availed for reservation benefits which eased my admission. The entrance exam is challenging but fair. A unique aspect was the Student mentorship program where seniors are assigned to help new students wth the registration process ensuing a smooth transition. I have been mentor and mentor coordinator and helped many new batches

The fest MERAZ....which I would waiting all year.
Food add ons. I might say...we do have max all types of chicken recipes.

Dislikes

Basic food... without salt and masala...eating rotis everyday is kind of boring.
Visiting places...there were a very few here...we need to go long for some.

Admission:

IIT Bhilai Cut off rank was 4029 for CSE in 2022. The admission process was through JOSAA after attempting JEE MAINS and JEE ADVANCED. You can apply for these through JEE portal. The eligibility for this course is based on the rankings given by the institute.You need to refer previous year rankings for a better idea and you can estimate the present year ranking based on the previous years.

Campus and College life is good at IIT Bhilai
Mess food is okay to eat except some days.

Dislikes

Campus is still getting build so that causes some problems

Admission:

For getting into college i had to give jee entrance exam that includes mains and advance after qualifying both i got the college. Application form can be found on jee advance website and NTA jee main website.

Reality in iit bhilai

The freedom is given by college that u can stay in hostel if u don't want to go to class.
you can get a serious preparation for your sport and u can represent as iit Bhilai student.

Dislikes

After night 11 we can't go outside and we can't get food within campus but they will allow swiggy and zomato upto their app services allowed.
Some sport courts are going on under construction.

Admission:

Write jee advanced exam and get a good score. And then in preference order keep IIT Bhilai also. After 6 rounds are completed you get a download invitation slip and after you reach some documents verification is done by college authorities.

Infrastructure are newly built and is top notch
Packages are decent enough as a 3rd gen iit , hope it gets increased

Dislikes

It is located in a rural type area and we did not have basic amenities like gym in like 5km
Weather is a bit hot and the sun can be scorching sometimes

Admission:

Admission to IIT is done in 2 phases via jee mains and then advance, for eligibility you have to be 10-12 passed, and in 12 you must have a 75% overall percentage, in admission process it's a very traumatic process of josaa and it can be streamlined.

Dislikes

Location is very far from city which cause a lot of problems.
Construction work is going on which cause lot of problem.

Admission:

First I gave Jee mains after that I qualified for jee mains I gave Jee advanced category rank 2688 and the cutoff for mechanical in round 2 is 2612 2733after qualifying for Jee Advanced i appeared for jossa and got the seat in Iit Bhilai After that our mentors are helping me in getting admission.

The hostel Life is at another level here. Playing sports at night has now become a habit of every person here.
The clubs here provide a great opportunity to students to improve their personality.

Dislikes

The food quality sometimes degrade which is a little bit concerning.
The internet speed is not very much fast as the college is situated in outskirts of city.

Admission:

I took entrance into this college after qualifying for JEE Advanced in the discipline of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. The cutoff of this branch was 5685 - 7009. After qualifying I filled out the JOSAA counseling form available at their official website. After selecting the college I paid fees for freezing the seat and after that came to college on the reporting day.

Admission:

To be eligible for this course, students were required to clear JEE Advanced with CRL (10302-11894). The application and registration process was first held by josaa and then later by the institute. There are many reservation benefits and scholarship opportunities available on the website of the institute.

There is a myth that the new IITs are not that good since it does not have a vast alumni network. Which is true to some extent. But it is not always the case.

IIT Bhilai is a prestigious college to attend. It is one of the youngest and fastest-growing third-generation IITs under the guardianship of IIT Hyderabad. It is an autonomous institute with decent academics, great faculty, and excellent placement records.

Academics:

The selection procedure of faculty is at par with any other IIT.
The institute has well-qualified, supportive faculty members.
You are supposed to clear JEE Advanced and those bases decide to pursue science at a top institute. You should not be worried about the academics being so hard as JEE prepares you in a unique style.
