• Students with a valid GATE score are selected for admission.
• Such candidates have to register for GATE COAP Counselling.
• During this counselling process, they have to register online and fill the choice of college and course of their interest.

2. Upon successful registration, you will receive an Enrollment ID on your registered email ID and mobile number.

The minimum requirement for the course is BE/B.Tech degree or Master’s degree in Science OR AMIE (both Part A and Part B) examinations with a good academic record.

• Applicants are shortlisted on the basis of their score in the GATE exam.

Engineering and Sciences

Graduation degree from CFTI (in a relevant stream with a minimum CGPA of 8/10 or above) OR M. Tech in a relevant stream OR Master’s degree by Research in Engineering. & Technology OR M.Sc in the relevant discipline.

Humanities & Social Sciences and Philosophy

Candidates with a Master’s degree in relevant discipline can apply for these two disciplines of Ph.D.

Staff Members and Scholars

The eligibility for such candidates is a ME/ M.Tech/M.Sc or any other Master’s degree with at least two years of work experience in the relevant field.

IIT Palakkad Ph.D. Selection Criteria

• The institute conducts the written test for shortlisting students.
• However, those who have a valid score in GATE/NBHM/CSIR NET/UGC NET are exempted from the written test and are shortlisted based on their score in the mentioned exams.
• The shortlisted candidates have to further appear for the Interview which helps the authority in making the final decision.
• Hence, candidates are selected based on their written test/entrance exam score followed by an interview.
