IIT Palakkad Scholarship 2024: List, Amount, Eligibility, Apply online
IIT Palakkad offers a variety of scholarships for its students belonging to reserved categories and students with disabilities. The scholarships are offered as per the norms of the Government of India at IIT Palakkad and financial assistance is provided to the students pursuing PG research-based programs and doctoral programs. The financial assistance is offered in the form of Half-Time Teaching Assistantship (HTTA). Apart from the basic scholarships, students at IIT Palakkad can also avail the facility of Education loans to meet their academic expenses. Some of the popular scholarship schemes offered by IIT Palakkad are as follows.
Merit Cum Means Scholarship:
- The Merit Cum Means Scholarship is the most popular scholarship at IITs. The Scholarship is only awarded to 25% of the students admitted.
- The basic requirements for the Merit Cum Means Scholarship is an annual family income less than INR 4.5 lakhs and the renewal of scholarship every semester is subject to a minimum GPA of 5 in the passed subjects.
- The award of the Merit Cum Means Scholarship is an exemption from the payment of tuition fees along with a pocket allowance of INR 1000 per month.
Free Studentship:
- Unlike the Merit Cum Means Scholarship, the Free Studentship is awarded to beyond 25% of students, to the students of the institute.
- In order to be eligible for the Free Studentship, a student must have an annual parental income of less than INR 4.5 lakhs.
- Also for the renewal of Free Studentship every semester, a student needs to maintain a minimum GPA of 5 in the passed subjects.
- As an award of Free Studentship, students will be exempted from paying the tuition fees.
Scholarship for SC/ST Students:
- The SC/ST Scholarship is specifically designed for the students of SC/ST categories whose annual family income is less than INR 4.5 lakhs.
- For the renewal of the SC/ST Scholarship, a student is subject to a minimum GPA of 5 in the past semester.
- The SC/ST students are exempted from paying the tuition fees under this scholarship scheme as per their academic performance in the institute.
- Also, the free messing (basic menu) is provided to the students along with a pocket allowance of INR 250 per month.
Scholarship for PD Students:
- The Scholarship is especially for the PD students irrespective of their annual family income and academic performance.
- The students are exempted from the payment of tuition fees under this scholarship scheme.

Ans. Students enrolled at IIT Palakkad can avail the facility of education loan as the institute has signed an MOU with SBI, Kanjikode, and under Vidyalakshmi educational loan scheme.
Ques. How much financial assistance is awarded at IIT Palakkad for the PG students?
Ans. IIT Palakkad offers financial assistance in the form of Half Time Teaching Assistantship which is about INR 12,500 per month for 24 months only. The assistantship will be awarded as per the institute's rules and regulations.

The institute fees which is basically the fees for education is around 1 lakh for a semester and the hostel, food and accommodation fees is around thirty thousand rupees. They also have a thing called mess cut which allows us to get a refund of the cost of the food.

As it government college there won't be any hikes in fee. The accadmic fee is 108200 and hostel fee is 37900 . If we from backward committee we get fee waiver .and if our income is very less we get different types of scholarship

My college fee structure is divided into 2 parts- institute fee and Hostel fee. For the institute fee we should pay 1,08,200 because of my caste certificate and income certificate,I got a scholarship in my college. which has reduced my institute fee by 100000. Coming to the hostel fee we have to pay as usual. we have so many roles like teacher assistant. and other roles which are having stipends awarded

- Many fests will be conducted frequently which are conducted by students where you can have lot of fun
- sports activities are getting improved and gc will be conducted every semester

- quality of food and taste of food is not good sometimes
- eventhough it is kerala , the climate sometimes will be very hot too difficult to handle

Fee is into two parts . 1) academic fee-108000 2) hostel fee -38000. there will be many scholarship according to your family income you have to apply for scholarships. first you have to apply for nsp scholarship and then apply for college fee reduction scholarship. you can also mcm scholarship from which you can get 4000 for each sem

- The campus life is good in the face faculty or nice on the placement course also good and percentage it is nice the infrastructure is still constructing so it will be good in coming years.
- We are also talks at least 2 per week so they are good and different people come to address and different issues it is nice one
Dislikes
- I have to adapt to the food because here they don't is my spices in my state they have you so we have to adjust for this
- if you have to go to hotels if we nearby but not total inside the hostel
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
The tuition feed does not increase because it's a IIT. Same in all the years it might be inquisited the start like in hostel general requirements because our college is a developing now because it's 3rd gen IIT. College in takes around 2 lakh 80000 per year for hostel and education completely for general student there there is feed reaction for reservation and more scholarships also available on one from the campus and other from government. Can take one scholarship. The environment is video here and it the environment is good in it IIT Palakkad the new campus is a going its in beside we have mountain guys good environment in the night. Jobs and good placements almost share on 90% of the students are getting the jobs and we have also in ships coming in ending of the second year.

As it a government college there won't be more hike in fee . Usuall in accadmic fee is 108200(including all the things like tuition fee,bills etc) and hostel fee is 37000 to 39000(including all the fee like mess,room rent , water etc). If we are from backword commite like sc or st or anyother no need pay tuition fee in academic fee they only need to pay 8200 only .. if the income of any person very less they can apply verious institute scholarship it will be around 1 lakh and there many other scholarship we can get if we are eligible they provide all The things to us . They provide maximum placements for every student studying in clg

The complete cost of education here is around 10 lakhs which is decent. There are scholarships from the government. Campus placement is average. Internships opportunities are also good. There has been no change in fee structure.

The fee structure is same for all branches and it is around 2,90,000 per year . For a middle class government employed family, it will a immense amount of money. But our college provides scholarships for the students which are bounded to some conditions.
