IIT Jodhpur Scholarship 2024: List, Amount, Eligibility, Apply online
IIT Jodhpur offers the Merit Cum Means Scholarships each academic year for all the categories of students. The institute considers the past academic records, merits, and parental income for the selection to the MCM Scholarship. However, the MCM Scholarship is awarded to only 25% of the students enrolled at IIT Jodhpur. The basic details for the MCM Scholarship are mentioned below.
Merits:
- For the General and OBC Category students: Minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in 12th standard are required for the 1st year students while for the students of 2nd year, a minimum CPI of 6.5 is required with no backlogs.
- For the SC & ST Category Students: The 1st year students are required to have a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate in class 12th and the second-year students should have no F grades in any of the courses.
Means:
The annual family income from all the sources of all the students of all categories should not exceed INR 6 lakhs.

For Gen & OBC Category Students:
- Free Tuition Fee
- INR 1000 per month
For SC & ST Category Students:
- Free Dining (basic menu)
- Exemption from hostel seat, rent
- Pocket allowance of INR 1000 per month

Application forms for the MCM Scholarship are available at the Office of Students of IIT Jodhpur. Ques. Does IIT Jodhpur accept online applications for the MCM Scholarship?
>Ans. IIT Jodhpur does not accept online applications for the MCM Scholarship. However, the students can get the application form from the Office of Students at the campus of IIT Jodhpur.
Ques. How can I get a scholarship to IIT?
Ans. To avail of the facility of scholarships at IITs, a candidate needs to satisfy minimum eligibility criteria such as a minimum CPI of 6.0 or a high score on JEE exam. For some of the scholarships, a student's parental annual income should be less than INR 4.5 lakhs.
Ques. Is proof of income tax required for the scholarships at IIT Jodhpur?
Ans. Yes, IIT Jodhpur requires a photocopy of the Annual Income Certificate (Form F16) of immediately preceding Financial Year, as provided by the employer, along with a copy of Income Tax Returns (ITR) for the present Assessment Year as filed with the Department of Income Tax during the application of MCM Scholarship.

- Foods . Sometimes foods are just too much annoying
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
Tuition fees in the institute are as per normal regulations and needs of the institution. But at the same time, people with financial issues are provided some compensation through merit cum scholarship as well as provided through NPS support provided by the office of Academic in the institute.

- Professors support ,Professors way of explaining things , the culture, infrastructure is the best part of the college
- Air conditioned single room for every person.
Dislikes
- Water facility in college , some kind of shortage is there.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
Tuition fees increase, I don't know much about it. Complete cost of education for 4 years is around 12 lakh Amout of scholarship or financial aid available for students are:- Family income less than 1 lakh then tuition fee will be 0 Family income between 1-5 lakh , tuition fees gets off 2/3rd . Tuition fees for sc and St is 0.

- The college has variety of culture. Besides technical college we had nice support for Product, Finance etc
- Infrastructure is top notch. We have newly built infra so there is no doubt in infra.
Dislikes
- Course curriculum is sometimes feels hectic and can be done in right way.
- The involvement of Office people in fest and many important decisions are very bad and leads to conflicts and bad management.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
Tution fees is 1 lakhs rupees per semester for general students and free for SC/ST. While all students have to pay for hostel and Mess fees that is regionable. The fees is somewhat 45000 per semester. While I don't come under any scholarship so I don't know much. But we had all kind of scholarship given by government of India.

- the first thing i like is our couse curriculum, it is a little bit challenging and vast. It focuses on strong theoretical foundation with practical applications.
- secondly, the campus life is dashing, engaging and full of fun. There are many clubs, societies and events which focuses on a wide range of interests buliding a strong community.
Dislikes
- the placement stats of some of the last years have disappointed me, they
- the campus is too far from the city so whenever we have to go to city for some work we have to give our entire day for that

in some last years there is increase in the tution fees every academic year or after two years. Yes various scholarships are provided like refunding of money on the basis of annual family income, scholarships provided by NSP.

- College attendance policy is very best, there is no 75% criteria but, if attendance is low than 75% then you have to score atleast C grade to pass the course.
- College culture, fest, clubs. If you join IIT jodhpur you are going to enjoy you 4year journey. Talking about clubs the technical clubs are excellent you will learn a lot from those clubs. Cultural clubs are also excellent.
Dislikes
- College is in jodhpur Rajasthan, so in summers it going to be too hard to do any thing in day time. If you are living there I will suggest to be hydrated.
- Mess food is not that much adequate. But it is eatable.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
Tution fees=100000 Hostel fees= 7000 Mess fees= 19000 Semester fees=27000 Talking about scholarship 1. For sc/St students tution fees is 0 2. For general/ obc students if your parents income is less than 1 lakhs. For you also tution fees is 0. 3. For general obc students if your parents income is between 1lac to 5lac total of 2/3 to tution fees is off for you 4. For more than 5 lakh you have to pay whole fee.

- The hostels provided by the college are really good when compared with other college hostels. There are air-conditioning systems installed in every room and single room is provided for each student.
- The research facilities provided here are really good. Appropriate machinery, equipment and systems are provided with required permission for research purposes/
Dislikes
- The one thing I disliked the most about this college is that there are issues regarding water in this campus. Water scarcity is not the issue in question but the purity of water is. The water coolers provided do not filter the water well.
- One other thing I hated about this college was that the academics are hectic and take a toll on the wellbeing of the student as one has to grind non stop the whole semester.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
I am not aware about the tuiton fee increase policy but the current tuiton fees is 100000 Rs. per semester. The hostel and mess charges along with other utilities cost 19000 Rs in total per semester. They are other non-refundables and emergency payments given at the beginning of your first semester. There are very less campus employment opportunities her in IIT Jodhpur. There are a lot of scholarships available about which you keep recieveing emails about.

- POC System: After JoSAA rounds a student (2nd year) will call you as a point Point Of Contact(POC) for you till the admission. He/She will guide you seemlessly through the admission proces and address any queries you have about the college.
- Courses are mostly relevent as they are for our professional development like AI,ML,DSA,Communication Skills etc.. and personal development like social connect,humanties etc.
Dislikes
- Quality of infrastructure one of the reasons I have taken the admission but you will realise very soon that it is not as beautifu as you have seen in videos or images.
- If you talk about campus life then it will totally depend on you and your friend circle. If you hve not good friends then you will not have any college life here,because as I said before nobody cares about you much (except your SG).
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
This is Government college which impplies Tuition fee will rise iff government say otherwise it will not and it has not been hiked since 2016. Rate of such hikes is you can take less than 10%. My Total cost of Education: 8000(one time & refundable),3800(one time),Tution and other fee=12000*8(sems),Hostel fee=7250*8,Mess fee=19000*8 As of All IITs 100% Tuition fee waiver for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped Family income<100000 full waiver of tuition fee Family Income<500000 2/3rd of tuition waived off. I have worked as a volunteer under 2 fests Varchas and Prometeo.

- The overall atmosphere of this institute is very good including the method of teaching, faculty is well educated and are able to adapt with the new technology.
- The campus is very vast, that is of 852 acres, you'll find everything within the campus, including a grocery store, a supermarket, some cafes and you'll find every essential product within the campus itself.
Dislikes
- There are not many options available to travel to city, sometimes you even pay more to travel to city that to travelling to your homeplace.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
The overall fee that is to be paid is around 14 lakh for a general candidate whose household income is more than 5 lakh per annum, the scholarships are also provided on the basis of household income by the institute itself. There are numerous other scholarships that are also provided which include the Aditya Birla Scholarship program, the Tata Scholarship for girls, and many more. The fee hike is not so often. But overall the fee is a bit higher than usual.

- First of all , the staff and seniors here are incredibly helpfull. Seniors help us to get accustomed to college life while staff members facilitate our lives here.
- The teaching methods of proffesors are high in quality and they dive in depth of every topic they cover.
Dislikes
- The exams are very tough and we have to work very hard to do well in exams.
- Getting a good CGPA is very difficult here.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
The complete cost of education for 4 year Btech course will be around 14 lakhs including tution fees, hostel fees and mess fees along with living expenses. Caste based relaxation in fees is available along with income based relaxation. On campus, one can work as a teaching asistant to earn some money every month.

The fee structure is fixed and same for all the courses and it is nearly 1.3 lakh per semester which is effective as per the facilities provided. There are scholarships based on reservations and economically weaker sections.
