curriculum is moderate and some of the courses are typically tough to understand. student ratio is okayish. Faculties are great in their fields and are very helpful academically. Exams are tough and the grading is relative.

The student-faculty ratio is decent given the size of the total batch. We have lectures, taken up by senior faculties, then we have teaching assistants in doubt sessions to help us cope with the class. Exams are timely and not very difficult to pass if concepts are clear. There is less mugging up

I personally want to get into IIT Bombay that's why I chose this branch but as soon as I started to pursue it I felt that it is fascinating and the faculty here is very supportive. Along with that, we get to learn from the very supportive people. The exams are held on time.

I was interested in chemistry and the Department of Chemistry is very old and renowned and it counts as the top department of chemistry across the country. Faculty to student ratio in the department is very good compared to other departments. Professors are highly qualified they have a vast knowledge about their fields and have done multiple projects and research on the same domain. They are mostly PhD in their domain. We had end-sem and mid-sem and a few quizzes. If you go in understanding things in class itself you will not have to put more effort into passing these. These exams are unlike jee wherein you have to put in a lot of effort.

The majority of the faculties are quite ordinary teachers, who just enter the classroom, laser the pdf and go away. I study everything from YouTube. Even the exams are quite difficult. Only a few students can pass the exam by studying overnight.
Expensive, but a lot of students - nearly half, avail the fee waiver because of either reservation or because they belong to economically weaker sections of the society. It's easily available, and highly recommended. There are no hidden fees, and the institute is very transparent.
The fee structure is different for different departments. Btech's usually have a higher fee structure. MSC's have a very decent fee structure, MTech and Ph.D. also have a decent fee structure. MTechs and PhDs. Stipends are given to MTech and Ph.D. students.
It's 1,35,000 per semester without a scholarship. Or of which 1,00,000 is your tuition fees. Around ?15,000 other expenses (including hostel). And around 20,000 is your new advance. Apart from this no extra charge. But do remember, if you will apply for a summer course, then you have to pay fees again.
