Peaceful environment for the students both to concentrate on studies and productive activities.
Best place to have trips as it's a beautiful place with many wonderful tourism spots nearly 2-4 hours from the college.

Dislikes

Travelling can be a hectic job as the way is full of ghats road
Weather can be too extreme, all in winters, summers and monsoons.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The branches which already existed from a long time , they have pretty good curriculum. The subjects, lab sessions tutorials all give good experience for us . They also provide us project works to work under professors if you want , so you can have experience. The branches which were recently introduced don't have good curriculum right now .

Class Size : 70Course Fees : INR 6000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

We have many internships opportunities coming from our placement cell from the third year of BTech like from Microsoft,Texas. Minimum 5 semesters are required to fulfill the criteria of doing the internship. After completing the internship interview, we get offer letter . Sometimes few companies give PPO along with the interships.

Placement Experience :

We have both on and off campus placements. Our on campus placement cell provides opportunities for students to apply by sending mail to all the students. Placement rate of the college is pretty good. Whereas for off campus placements, the rate is pretty good too. Students who are not able to meet the criterias or Many of our seniors have secured placement in the top MNCs and other leading companies in both the nation and out of the nation.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Category students SC/ST have numerous options of scholarships. They can opt for only one among the national level provided scholarships. Most of the scholarships are available to apply in the first year only,while very few are available in the upcoming years. If you missed in the first year, it might be a stressful job to get another one in the next year and above.

Campus Life :

It is one the beautiful campuses in India. The college has many different clubs participating in intern IITs every year and also in the other college fests . It also has some cools clubs dealing with mountain biking, hiking and trekking, sports and adventures. Dance, music, drama, designing,E-Cell, TSOD, STARC, and many more clubs are available here.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostels are always super clean provided with a decent room space and a Locker. It has tripple,double and single sharing. It changes by year wise. Washrooms are shared one for every floor. Laundry room is available in each hostel block. Also has a refrigerator, induction stove, and an iron. Every black has 3-4 flours. Every hostels has a gaurd for security and issue resolving purposes.

Hostel Fee : INR 25600 per year

Admission :

Students who cleared JEE advanced are accepted in this college. For category students cut off rank can be very less depending on the branch it may vary. Other category students also have good chance of getting admitted in the college as , the intake is increasing for every year. If you want to have a decent education you can opt for this college. It also has good placement rate .

Faculty :

We have very good faculty. As we are given with many different projects in every year of college, it helps us to get good experience in working. Professors suggest us many different ways to approach. For theoretical part they give us a lot of assignments, tutorials and conduct few quizzes during the semester.

Placement Experience:

Like from the the 7th semester we are eligible to sit in placement process. Companies like vegazva, khanna paper mill, shree cement etc. companies visited in campus. And the highest package as like i mentioned the company visited in campus giving us 4lpa for 2-3 years then it is increased as per the candidate performance.

A realistic experience at NIT Hamirpur

Placement Experience:

A clear picture is not shown to the website of my college as well as student studying at it. However after consulting through our seniors, we get to know that various big companies visits our college. The highest package is about 60 lakhs but average is around 10 lakhs

Course Curriculum Overview:

They have followed Nep which implement latest curriculum and subjects have latest knowledge. It have mix of theoretical and practical knowledge that help in real world scenarios. It may need to exclude things that no longer needee or used. Timing of exam leaves us with enough time to prepare but extending it would be good too.

As a student currently enrolled in the dual degree program, I can't speak about placements from personal experience. However, based on info available online and discussin with seniors here's what about the placements: Students typically become eligible to participate in campus placements starting from their sixth semester, by securing a decent cgpa which vary by taking the average cgpa of every batch. 1. Placement Percentage:NIT Hamirpur biasts a good placements record with a reported placement rate of aroiund 72.65% for the batch 2022-23 batch. 2. Companies Visited: Top recruiters includes companies like: Accenture, Infosys, Godrej, Samsung, IBM and more 3.Packages Offered: The average package offered can vary depending in the company and the student's specialisation. However, reports suggest the average package for BTech students during placements 2023 was around INR 10.3 LPA, with the highest package of INR 173 LPA.

JNGEC: we should admire it

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is now going to boost In JNGEC from the last 4 years. Students are eligible from the last year of their graduation for the placement. Some of the students were already placed during their Vocational training time. Tech, textile, mechanical, civil constructions Ltd, and electronics company visit make students secure about their future with respect to placements. 6LPA is the average package offered by a company here.
