Remarks :

I only have positive remarks that mess food is great, sports section is great, festsare great and faculty is great. Teaching assistants are great. Also infrastructre environment, clubs also we have annual inter iit cultural, sports, and tech fest in which every iit takes part and ig is a great experience.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum is based on credit criteria. And baskets of course which are institute core courses, department elective courses, Humanity science courses and all together we have to complete 160 credits. Also we have ME courses. And exam structure is based on 2 quizes and 1 end semester exam. Sonetimes assignments and projects are also involved in the criteria.

Placement Experience :

There are many Placement and job opportunities because most of the placement is incampus and that too with suitable pay. Yes, companies come in campus for internship interviews. Currently i am in second year so have not done any internship yet. But stipend depends on the company in which you get selected. Companies like adobe give 1 lac per month.

College Events :

So, events is speciality of every IIT. Events which are celebrated in our college are as follows- 1)- Rann-neeti which is the biggest sports fest of himalyas. Almost 1200 people from different colleges come to ourcollege to participate in it. And all the fests are student run. 2)- Exodia- It is our cultural and technical fest. Even people from south India comes to participate in it. Other fests are Utkarsh, Exuberence,Aavishkar etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is feasible as it is a government institute. Scholarship and fee waiver is present for girls and also for scheduled caste peoples.And also for other backward classes. And medical unit is present which take care of students without any seperate fees.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

MCM scholarship is offered in our college to the students who are in 25%of their branch. Also girls get seperate scholarships of 10000 per annum apart from 100% fee waiver which only girls get.Also there are seperate scholarships for sc st and obc people.

Campus Life :

Our college conduct hundreds of extracurricular activities such as We have our hiking and trekking club which takes us to different places for trekking. We have NSS club which conducts donations, visits to orphanages, old age homes, blind schools and contribute to social services. And we have all the sports in our campus such as football, cricket, hockey,basket etc. I would rate all of them a straight 5 out of 5.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel- 5 because hostels of our college are one of the best. We have automaticwashjng machines, electric kettle, microwave, induction and tabletennis or any other games you can name in every hostel Infrastructure-4 As our college is in hills so it is difficult to construct but even then we have swimming pools, badmintn courts, football,cricket,Tennis ,Volley grounds.also we have libraries, canteens. And student building having dance and drama room, music room, Gymkhana office, STSC room etc. Faculty-4 Out of 5

External Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

As our collegeis not much old wedo not have many of them. But still we have many to guide us, help us and also they come to college to guide us. They have excelled jn outside industries and researches. So, they support us in many other ways also.

Admission :

I took coaching from Akash institute inorder to prepare for the entrance exam jee mains and jee advanced. My rank in mains was around 21000 and in advance it was 5796 due to which i got admission in mech engineering at IIT Mandi. Also i have taken one drop year to prepare for the same.

Faculty :

Faculty of college is pretty good. All have qualifications from big institutes of world such as MIT, IIT etc. And they are pretty much experienced and they are also great in research work of their particular fields. So overall facult is very good.

Like from the the 7th semester we are eligible to sit in placement process. Companies like vegazva, khanna paper mill, shree cement etc. companies visited in campus. And the highest package as like i mentioned the company visited in campus giving us 4lpa for 2-3 years then it is increased as per the candidate performance.

A realistic experience at NIT Hamirpur

Placement Experience:

A clear picture is not shown to the website of my college as well as student studying at it. However after consulting through our seniors, we get to know that various big companies visits our college. The highest package is about 60 lakhs but average is around 10 lakhs

They have followed Nep which implement latest curriculum and subjects have latest knowledge. It have mix of theoretical and practical knowledge that help in real world scenarios. Placement Experience:

Campus placement is now going to boost In JNGEC from the last 4 years. Students are eligible from the last year of their graduation for the placement. Some of the students were already placed during their Vocational training time. Tech, textile, mechanical, civil constructions Ltd, and electronics company visit make students secure about their future with respect to placements. 6LPA is the average package offered by a company here.
