Remarks :

Being good in studies I was motivated by my parents and teachers to prepare for IIT. Hence I started my preperation with distance learning program. I had heard of this college because it was recenty opened in my state.It was due to my marks I was getting new IIT'S as it was closer to my home I choose this college. The reviews were also good for this College which helped me in taking this decision.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is designed by experienced faculties and students can also help in shaping the curriculum. The are various student bodies for that. As hostel and faculty are very close you get a very good chance to interact with faculty.

Class Size : 141Course Fees : INR 800000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

I interned at DRDO there was no stipend and I worked on identification of weaker region in soil which was different for me.

Placement Experience :

The placements are best for computer science and various management companies also visit the institute. The placements in core branches is not that good but students who know about coding get placed easily.

College Events :

There are various college groups for organising events. I have myself played football in college and that was a great experience. There are inter college fests and the students also go to outside colleges for participation in all types of events. The clubs present also organise timely events in college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is scholarship for himachal students which I took. There is a scholarhip based on income which students can take. If you are not financially strong and academically good you will get scholarships.

Campus Life :

The location is beautiful. The campus is in development phase but will be complete very soon. The hostels are very good in comparison with other IIT's. Most of the work is done. There are two campus south and north. The south campus is complete and thw north campus is almost complete.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel infrastructure is great and better than the other IIT's I have been to. There are all the facilities like owen, iron,dryer,cooler etc. There is a common room too for tv and other activities.

Placement Experience:

Like from the the 7th semester we are eligible to sit in placement process. Companies like vegazva, khanna paper mill, shree cement etc. companies visited in campus. And the highest package as like i mentioned the company visited in campus giving us 4lpa for 2-3 years then it is increased as per the candidate performance.

A realistic experience at NIT Hamirpur

Placement Experience:

A clear picture is not shown to the website of my college as well as student studying at it. However after consulting through our seniors, we get to know that various big companies visits our college. The highest package is about 60 lakhs but average is around 10 lakhs

They have followed Nep which implement latest curriculum and subjects have latest knowledge. It have mix of theoretical and practical knowledge that help in real world scenarios. It may need to exclude things that no longer needee or used. Timing of exam leaves us with enough time to prepare but extending it would be good too.

JNGEC: we should admire it

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is now going to boost In JNGEC from the last 4 years. Students are eligible from the last year of their graduation for the placement. Some of the students were already placed during their Vocational training time. Tech, textile, mechanical, civil constructions Ltd, and electronics company visit make students secure about their future with respect to placements. 6LPA is the average package offered by a company here.
