JEE Advanced Seat Matrix
There are approximately 17800+ seats across 23 IITs for undergraduate programs. This data is important for candidates to strategize their preferences in the JEE exam. IITs follow a Category-Wise Seat Reservation policy which is as follows:
- General (GEN): Open to all candidates based on merit.
- General – Economically Weaker Section (GEN-EWS): 10% of seats.
- Other Backward Classes – Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL): 27% of seats.
- Scheduled Caste (SC): 15% of seats.
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 5% horizontal reservation within each category.
- Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5% of seats.

JEE Advanced cutoff 2023
In JEE Advanced 2023, a total of 180,372 candidates appeared for the JEE Advanced 2023, out of which 43,773 candidates qualified, resulting in the approximately 24.26% success rate. With the General category (CRL) needed 8 marks per subject and 86 out of 360 overall (~23.9%) to qualify. OBC-NCL and GEN-EWS required 77 marks, while SC/ST/PwD categories had a lower cutoff of 43 marks and 4 per subject. The Preparatory Course cutoff was just 22 marks.

JEE Advanced cutoff 2022
In JEE Advanced 2022, out of 1.55 lakh aspirants, around 40,000 candidates qualified, resulting in approximately 26% success rate. The General (CRL) cutoff was 55 out of 360 with 5 marks in every subject, reflecting a moderate level of difficulty. GEN-EWS and OBC-NCL cutoff was 50, whereas for SC/ST/PwD categories, only 28 marks (3 per subject) were needed. The Preparatory Course had the lowest cutoff at 14 marks.

JEE Advanced Cutoff 2021
In JEE Advanced 2021, a total of 141,699 candidates who appeared for both papers in JEE Advanced 2021, 41,862 have qualified, including 6,452 female candidates.
The JEE Advanced 2021 qualifying marks for the Common Rank list (CRL) were set at 63 out of 360, which is 17.5%.
The Reserved category candidates had a lower cutoff of 56 for GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL and 31 for SC/ST/PwD. The candidates were required to score the minimum marks in each subject, ranging from 6 (CRL) to 3 for the reserved category, with just 9 marks required forthe Preparatory course.
