  • Despite having 110+ marks, students belonging to reserved categories (OBC/SC/ST) may get admission into good IITS.

JEE Advanced 2025 Score Calculation

The final score for JEE Advanced 2025 is the total sum of scores from both papers of all 3 subjects.

It is determined based on the performance of the candidate on both Paper 1 and Paper 2, which are compulsory.

The 2 papers consist of three sections each — Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics — with different marking schemes.

JEE Advanced 2025 Score Calculation – Section-Wise Method

Component Details
Total Marks in Each Paper 180 marks (Paper 1: 180 + Paper 2: 180 = Total 360 marks)
Subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
Marking Scheme Varies by question type (MCQS, NATS, MSQS)+3 for correct, −1 for incorrect
Raw Score (per subject) Marks in Physics + Chemistry + Mathematics (from both papers)
Total Score Formula Physics (P1 + P2) + Chemistry (C1 + C2) + Mathematics (M1 + M2)
Rank List Inclusion A candidate is expected to meet both subject-wise and overall cutoff criteria

Example of JEE Advanced Score Calculation :

  • Physics Paper 1 = 45, Physics Paper 2 = 40
  • Chemistry Paper 1 = 35, Chemistry Paper 2 = 30
  • Mathematics Paper 1 = 50, Mathematics Paper 2 = 45

Total Score = (45+40) + (35+30) + (50+45) = 245/360

Through this score, the overall All India Rank of the candidate will be determined.
