The admit card for the IIT JAM 2025 examination is expected to be available by the second week of January 2025. The admit card is usually made available at the JOAPS login portal, i.e., jam.iitm.ac.in. To download the admit cards from the website, entering the enrollment ID and password is necessary. There is no provision for sending the admit cards via post or mail.
I forgot my enrollment ID, can I download my admit card? The official gives the authority to enter either enrollment ID or email ID or mobile number or registration number. So yes, you can download the admit card if you have forgotten your enrollment number.
JAM admit card is one of the essential documents to be carried on the day of test. The official also mandated to bring any photo identification proof students have along with the hall ticket. When the Admit Card will be Available for the Exam in 2025?
The JAM admit card for 2024 exam was released on January 8th. Once, the authority updates their website for the next 2025 year, you will be updated with all the dates here. Till then, here are some speculated dates by us made by keeping in mind the previous year's dates:

How Can I Download my Admit Card from the JOAPS Portal?
As mentioned earlier, the steps for downloading admit cards are carried out online at the official website, jam.iitm.ac.in. Visiting the website, click on “JOAPS Portal JAM Admit Card 2025”. Provide your enrollment ID/ email ID/ mobile number/ registration ID and enter the password. Calculate the mathematics problem and hit on the ‘Submit’ option. Take at least 2 printout copies of the JAM admit card
I Forgot My Login Credentials, How Can I Download the Admit Card?
There will be an option mentioning “Forgot Enrollment ID and Password?” at the login page. Clicking on it, a separate window will open, where you can retrieve your admit card in either of the three options:
- For forgotten password: If you have forgotten your login password and remember the Enrollment ID, you can "Request for an OTP" to get a one-time password. In this case, you must enter your registered mobile number, and email or enrollment ID and click on “Send OTP”
- For forgotten enrollment ID: In case students have forgotten their enrollment ID, they can retrieve it by entering their registered mobile number and email ID and clicking on the “Send Enrollment ID” option
I Already Have an OTP, Can I Reset my Login Password?
If you have already received an OTP for password resetting, you can do so following the said process. After clicking on “Already Have an OTP”, enter the enrollment ID, the OTP you have received, set and confirm your new password, and hit the save button.
What Details are Mentioned on the Admit Card?
After downloading the admit card from the official website, you can check the following details. Do not forget to cross-verify each and every detail cited on your respective admit cards after downloading it:
- Candidate’s name
- Photograph
- Signature
- Parent’s/ Guardian’s Contact Number
- Registration Number
- Paper Names and Codes Applied for
- Test Center’s Details like Center Code, Name, and Address
- Exam Date
- Test Day Instructions
What to Do if My Signature and Photograph is Blurred on My Admit Card?
The query mentioned above is one of the common problems after downloading the admit card from the website faced by students. After you download the admit card from the website, if there are any such discrepancies, it must be brought to the notice of the authority by emailing at jam@iitm.ac.in. Without proper and clear signatures and photographs, students will not be able to enter the hall.
Can I Update My Signature after Downloading the Admit Card?
You cannot update once the admit card is released. It will be your responsibility to cross-verify your signature before uploading it while the registration process is ongoing. However, you can mail the authority if you have found any discrepancies regarding the blurriness of image. The authority will guide you to resolve the issue.
What Other Documents Should I Carry on the Exam Day?
Apart from the admit card, here is the list of photo ID proofs that must be carried on the day of the examination. Any one of the following documents can be carried:
- Aadhar Card
- PAN Card
- Voter ID Card
- Driving License
- Passport
What are the Exam Day Rules and Regulations?
Upon downloading the admit card from the official website, there will be some rules and regulations mentioned on your admit cards. These are:
- Reach the allotted test venue 1 hour before the exam starts
- Bringing any electronic devices like calculators, smart watches, or mobile phones inside the premises is strictly prohibited. A virtual calculator will be made available to students for calculation purposes.
- Ensure the system allotted is working properly, and reach the examiner on time if any problem occurs.
- Silence must be prevailed in the exam hall till the end. Students creating a nuisance for other aspirants will be disqualified
- Indulging in unfair means will also lead to the disqualification and cancellation of the paper.
- Do not use the admit card for doing rough work or writing anything.

Can I Change My IIT JAM Exam Center?
The authority of the Roorkee campus will allow students to change the exam center under some conditions only. However, it must be noted that the changing of centers after the request is not guaranteed. To request the same, a mail must be sent to jam@iitr.ac.in, specifying the proper reasons and making a payment of INR 500, which is non-refundable.
