Campus Life at Thakur College of Engineering and Technology (TCET)

Likes

The infrastructue of this college is good, all the amenities have been provided by the college.
As the college is autonomous, the curriculum is different from Mumbai University, and hence more revelant things are being added on from this year.

Dislikes

The mindset of the student here is in the path of masters, and so very less like-minded students will be there; if you want to persue programming.
The college has mandatory 75% attendance, due to which overall development / placement studies become hard.

Placement Experience:

1) The student becomes eligible for the placement from the 7th semester. 2) From this year, the college is only allowing companies with salary packages above 5 LPA. 3) More than 500 students apply for a company's online assessment, and still only 20-30 students get selected for the next round. 4) Up till now, the highest package is 19 LPA (at JP Morgan Chase & Co). 5) According to the past placement campaign, more than 100 companies visited Thakur College of Engineering and Technology, but how much of this information is true, is still not known.

Behaviour of the staff and all sir and mam in the clg were cool nothing much
Sports in the clg was the must priority after the studies

Students who disrespect clg name thats all disliked

My parents told me to do this course as of this course has lot more opportunities as compare to other thats why i also choose this over other fields that all that why i love this course and my fiture is too bright.

They are scheduled the exams late sometimes which is not good for students because after that we don't have time to study like they give us the time of 1 month to study for semister exam and before the month is the internal exam that's why we didn't get the time for study for the semester exam

There is nothing more which I like but I can say that I like clubs

First i would like tell about college faculty there are very few faculty who is good in teaching and some are those who don't know about teaching still they are teaching
I hate college campus. Campus is very small so there is nothing place to walk or experience something new in campus

I choosed IT because I want my dream job there nothing that I like my course but I think after getting my degree I'll able to take my dream job that's the reason Itoom this course Actually college curriculum provides us to develop our skills but it doesn't affect us that much Frequency and timing of exams are good they provide sufficient time to prepare

Faculty is good and there is dedicated games room and discussion room.
The teaching methods are good.the teachers are good with good knowledge of subject.they also provide mentoring sessions.

Dislikes

Fees more.The fees should be less as all can not afford it.
The campus is huge so it takes time if you want to explore whole campus

Placement Experience:

the placement opportunities at TIMSR are quite strong, and I’m confident I’ll find a good role after completing my degree.Students at TIMSR usually become eligible for campus placements starting in the third semester. That’s when most of the recruitment drives, pre-placement talks, and interviews happen.

Faculty is experienced and good.They provide in-depth and practical knowledge of the subject.
There are various fests organised and inter College competitions organised for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The difficulty level fo the exam is medium to tough. The curriculum is quite industry relevant. The curriculum prepares for real-world applications. The alumni network of Thakur Institute of management studies and research is quite strong.

Classrooms have AC well equipped lab and clean washroom

Dislikes

Hostels doesn't provide mess facilities also they are increasing their charges per year
Campus is to small plus no playgrounds to play

Placement is quite good avarage salary is 5 lakh per anum while Highest is 44 lkh per anum offered by Amazon companies like Accenture Capgemini Infosys TCS Oracle are come for placement recruitment this year flipkart is also coming. College have active Training and placement cell

I have like the books in the library room
I like the canteen food and the variety of food.

Dislikes

I don't like the faculty of the college and the staff
I don't like the placement cell of the college it don't gives proper training and charges alot for training which is 3700 which is compulsory in order to sit for placement.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester the companies come for recruitment. The companies come in the college are Infosys, Cognizant, Capegimini, Oracle, Zycus. Very less number of students are able to get placement from the college. The people who don't get placement opt for higher studies, try for off campus placement. The lowest package offered is 180000. The average package offered is 300000.

The thing I like was the architecture of the college building and it is nice and clean a big space for everything planned according and also arranged properly
The food in the canteen is great at a nice price and also healthy and tasty

Dislikes

The sitting areas are less and not extra tables to sit in college campus
The food truck in the campus are very expensive and also not that great at taste

The course is likely to be great and the best you can get your hands on in the upcoming market and I guess it will be great if we are likely to be achieved things right out the campus which our college is helping us to do by making deals with many companies and working with them.
