Faculty:

Cu has a student faculty ratio of 14:1. For every class we are provided a mentor to whom we can ask everything and get help where we want in the course or other things. We have batch heads and associate directors to whom we can take our problems related to course, financial aids, exam etc. The marking scheme here is according to our performance in class and in exam too. The internal marking is 40 and external is 60

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The detailed fee structure for my course is 88500 per sem which is the tution fee for the course. There is one time security fee of 2000 and i have to pay 2500 every sem as examination fee. The scholarship is given according to the score in CUCET (Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test). It allows upto 100% relief on tution fee. You have to give this test at the time of your admission

Faculty:

The faculty to students ration at Goa engineering college is really great.Unlike private colleges goa engineering college doesn't have a very large intake. The annual intake for each department is just 90 students.Which make it 360 students in each department and each department has atleast 20 faculty members. So the ratio is around 1:18. All the faculties member are good but my favourite in the first year was Brigida D Souza ma'am. She is a really good mathematics teacher and helped me understand difficult concept. Although all the faculty members are good there are few faculty members who have really fragile ego. I won't be taking any names but there are some Each semester a student has to give 3 internal tests and 1 semester test for each subject. Each semester has 4-6 subjects. This makes it 16-24 tests evey semester. Nearly 30% of the students fail to clear atleast 1 paper in each semester. The course outcome is very relevant. After the implementation of New education policy in our curriculum our syllabus is more inclined towards practical learning.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The tuition fee per semester at Goa engineering college for any branch is 45,400 this is just the tuition fee apart from this we have to pay a mandatory examination fee which ranges from 4000-6000 per semester. The students willing to avail hostel fecility have to pay a semester fee of 6100 per semester, There is also a mess fee which is 13500 per semester. Students at the goa engineering college avail a lot of scholarships. The most common one is Diamond Jubilee Gift scheme by Government of Goa, By availing this scheme the students have to pay half the amount of the above mentioned tuition fee. The criteria for this scholarship is that the student must be a Goan resident and the family income must be less than 8 lakhs per annum. This scholarship is given to all the eligible applicants regardless of their merit. The fee for reserved category student is also half of the above mentioned fees.

The fees for general category students is 120000? For sc category students the tution fees is not applicable... only 5000? has to be paid (admission fees) Sc category students have to apply for scholarship and pay back the tution fees to the institute.. At the time of admission i paid 10000?(prospect + admission fees) I paid additional 10000? as i opted for bus facility (25000? yearly remaining amount to be paid later)

Placement Experience:

The faculty haven't discussed with as about the criteria for placement From 2nd year internships are compulsory (to sit in interview rounds ) The frequent recruiters are wipro,TCS,HCL,Microtech,etc.. The highest package offered was 19lpa The average package goes around 4-5lpa Around 70% students get placed every year My plan after completing my degree is to get admitted into an IIM and pursue MBA

There are zero annual festivals, in the last term of the course there were two technical festivals like hackathon, some workshops. The library consist of vast range of books. The classroom consist of a projector for presentation learning. There are almost zero sports and extracurricular activities. But one time they conducted a smal indoor games competition. There are zero social groups, portals

Faculty:

The faculty are too supportive and friendly. the course structure consist of 8 semesters each with 5-6 subjects and 1-3 labs. Every subject has 4-5 hours of classes per week. In each semester they conduct two internal exams and one semester end exam. The students get marks based on their performance in each exams, 10 marks for assignment and 50 for lab exams.

75k per year plus additional fees like library fee, special fee and maintenance fee. scholarships are based on your EAMCET ranking. Either it will be a full tuition fee reimbruisement or no scholarship at all. I had full fee reimbruisement but the govt has not yet sanctioned the amount to college but still they provide the education for free.

Faculty:

Faculty to student ratio is 1:60 but many students dont come to college anyways so its like 1:20. I dont say the faculty is highly trained but its common in every engineering college nowadays that students do their own study. Exams are easy for those who study well by themselves. Pro tip: Youtube is your best friend

For first year, fests are organised by the college. We also had a good freshers party. There are many fests but their scale is small. There are many varieties of books avaliable in our library from academic books to comics. Every class room have either smartboard or projector. Also college sports teams participate in many compitions of SPPU etc. There are many good clubs for all branches in college.

Faculty:

We have 1 teacher for 69 students in class. For FE IT some of the teachers are strict for academics(EM, BEE) . Also some of the first year faculties are new(Physics etc). We get plenty of time to ask doubts. Teachers also provide good quality notes to students. There are 2 exams in semister. Hardly anyone fails in final exams. The exam are conducted in strict supervision.

So every branch has 3 division each and division has 70 student . And 2-3 faculty per subject . The faculty is very supportive and helping. You can visit them any time for your doubts they will never denied you to help you. I personally like our FCHN and COA faculty Ajitkumar Kharchane SIr and our OOPS in java faculty Mandar Sir. And maths faculty Uday Kashish Sir. The exam style is unique that instead of unit 1 and unit 2 . We have system of Monday test. Every Monday their will be a test. In whole semister their will be 2 test per subject and average of it will be consider(mse1 and mse2). Last year it was 3 test and average of best of two was used to consider but it is changed now. And talking about marking system , for theory 20 marks(mse)+ 15(Internal)+40(End semester exam)=75 and passing marks is 30. For practical 50marks are their 25 for ISA and 25 for end practical exam.

Last Year when I was in first year ,I paid 118368 rupees under Reservation category OBC. In which 17000 was development fee and university fee is 768 and rest was Tution fee. They also told that if we don't fill scholarship form then we have to fill the complete fee that is 130737 rs.And this year that is second year I payed 77637 rupees under Reservation category OBC. And total fee is 136638. Development fee was 17739 and 768 rupees university fees. My batchmate who is from ST category has 100% fee waiver scholarship so they just have to pay university fee that is 768. And yes fee keeps increasing every year.

HD degrees, and they are very helpful and full of ideas. They were really good mantras. They never forces you to only learn from the text box. He always motivates you to learn outside the textbook and ex lower the real world.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

Fees for each year was 1,10,000 but there are many other scholarship like minority and other where you get 50% of your tution fees. Basically 96,000 is tution fees and other fees of amount 10,000 to 20,000 depending on which year you are. Other than this there is also exam and certification fees of 1000 for each semester.

See my course is IT which is considered very challenging in my colllege due to it's difficult midsems and endsems not due to paper's difficulty level but because of a very professional checking. Now it's a very complicated system but I will explain it in very simple way so we have 8 subjects per semester out of which 5 are theory plus practical and rest 3 are purely practical. In IT, it is normal to get one back in semester. Oh also we get backs in more than 5 subjects then you have to repeat semester but I think it takes a real talent to get back in more than 5 out of 8 subjects. Particularly my branch have a very relevant course curriculum such as teaching basic c++ in very first semester which is very rare.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course curriculum is very relevant since we are taught basic c++ in first semester which is very rare. My midsems and endsems contains of 30 marks and 105 marks respectively. Three midsems are held per semester. Out of which we first take two best midsems than get average out of them(which I personally found very annoying but overtime I realised it is to help students to have less academic weight on them). If I have to give advice for improvement ,it is to remove 75 percent attendance which is sometimes fatal it gives detainment a lot in midsems and in endsems it is very lethal for student.

The ratio of student to teachers is quite good, there are enough teachers for one subject. All the teachers are very good, nice to students. Some are strict as well, but they teach good. Exams are conducted as per sppu pattern , as this year college turned into Autonomous institution...so exam pattern changed for 1st year students only.

Campus Life:

The campus life is amazing, there are all enthusiastic people around us. There are so many technical and non-technical clubs involving so many students, the clubs are so engaging and provide variety of skills. There are different clubs like Pictoreal, IEEE, ACM, NSS, MUN, Debsoc, nakshatra, etc.

Only our hod sir and few staff are good. Remaining I didn't like they literally make students surround themselves during projects. They literally don't teach , but just shouts. Ours paper of correction is under( OU) this is the only good thing. Ours is last batch under Osmania University. Ours academic year was late exams, labs very slow comparing to other colleges.

Internships Opportunities:

One summer internship must be done ,but college doesn't provide anything for us . We students did it from outside through online, offline. I did 2 projects ,Speech emotions recognition ml projects Cyberbullying using Twitter tweets this is also ml project This are the projects I done our external will also under OU was really went strict.

Course Curriculum Overview:

You can choose any of the provided course as all are good in their respective place. Courses should be improved by upgrading with today's technology. Teaching methods should also change with it. Timing of exam is 2:30 hours in morning or afternoon. The exams are difficult as prepared by GTU.

Faculty:

Faculty to student relationship is average as many of them are good and many of them don't respond properly. I don't like Professor Kori as he is always on angry mood and always scolding students for silly things. Exams are conducted in good way. Approx 30% fails due to tuf paper by GTU.

Other than that there are many other events like department day, departmental triads all this happens in the month of August and September. Talking about clubs there is a variety of clubs that you can explore like CSI, ACM, literally club, marathi club I never personally joined any of them but I think I should've because it gives you exposure and build confidence

Placement Experience:

If I am being honest the placement cell is really good over here in FE only they take a placement session on how to prepare for placements they solve if you have any doubts and before you enter final year they take some amount of fees for placement training which includes aptitude teaching, interview questions, resume building and all. After this from July end or august companies start to come in they come for specific roles but it is advisable to sit for all the companies to get experience

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

At the time of admission we only have to deposit 500 rs.. and yearly the fees is approximately 23000 to 24000.... Which can easily be covered under the scholarship which have applied by the students... If students belongs to general caste then he or she is not eligible for the scholarship... But if he or she taken the admission under EWS seat then his/her full fees is paid by the government itself

Placement Experience:

Placements are good . And the TPC (Training and placement cell) also offers the practice session for the students so that they can perform well in placement. Highest package in mine college (on campus) is of around 15-16 LPA and the average package is of around 6-7 LPA

Ques. How is IIIT Vadodara for a Btech in CSE/IT?

● Top Answer By Priyansh Kumar on 16 Mar 23

Ans. If you have a choice between IIIT Vadodara and any other well-established NIT or IIIT for a Btech in CSE/IT, you should go for the latter as IIIT Vadodara lacks proper infrastructure and resources. However, studying B.tech in CSE at IIIT Vadodara is a rigorous course that offers different course content from other colleges, making students good engineers. The professors put in equal amounts of hard work to deliver their content in a professional manner, and there are ample resources available online for students.  IIIT Vadodara is a good option as it provides exposure to both theory and industrial practice, and the institute has improved immensely. The placements are also getting better, with tech giants recognizing IIIT Vadodara and aiding in projects through developer student clubs and Mozilla student clubRead more

● Top Answer By Komal S on 15 May 24

Ans. According to my experience as a former CSE student at KIET, choosing KIET over JSS Noida will be no doubt a good choice. You’ll also get the best infrastructure and faculty in the CSE branch.  There are considerably more opportunities here to do something unique in your field. I have seen my seniors getting placed at reputed companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Adobe, Accenture, and Infosys, to name just a few. Just last year, i.e. 2023, the highest package that they secured was INR 48.89 LPA. Moreover, about 93.98% of my seniors were successfully placed. Read more

Ques. Which one is better: IT in IIIT Allahabad or CSE in BITS Goa?

● Top Answer By Muktesh Shukla on 21 Mar 23

Ans. The IT degree at IIIT Allahabad is considered one of the best in India, and it is aligned with the CSE curriculum from the best IITs and NITs in India. The professors are a mixed bag, with some highly qualified, doing good research, and teaching well, while some may be uninteresting. However, with some self-motivation, the academic landscape is quite good.  IIIT Allahabad has a great culture for programming, which can help you become a serious developer. The infrastructure is good, the campus is green, and the architecture is impressive, with the added benefit of being centrally air-conditioned. On the downside, the city life in Allahabad is not great, especially if you come from a metro city. You may experience a cultural shock. The research environment is not exceptional, and there are only a handful of students aspiring to pursue higher education. You will find yourself in a batch of more than 200 students, in which you have to create your own identity. The weather is terrible, with extremely hot summers and cold winters (although some people may like the winters). The sports infrastructure is not the most amazing one. In summary, here's the verdict: If you're interested in research and want to pursue technical education further in your career, BITS Goa may be the right choice for you. If you want a great Indian IT job after your degree, IIIT Allahabad may be the right choice for you. If you're looking for a better peer group, better girls, and a more happening city life, BITS Goa may be the right choice for you. If you're serious about programming and have a penchant for Competitive Programming, IIIT Allahabad may be the right choice for you.Read more

Ques. Should I go to LPU (Lovely Professional University) or Manipal University Jaipur for a B.Tech (IT)?

● Top Answer By Tushar Kathuria on 04 May 24

Ans. As a former student of B.Tech IT at LPU, I can only provide information about my own college. Here are a few benefits of joining LPU for your B.Tech IT- Scholarships -  LPU offers scholarships to those who perform well in 12th grade or various entrance exams. These scholarships continue for the entire B.Tech course. This brings down the course fee for meritorious students by a great extent.  Placements-  The university performs quite well in IT placements. Companies like HTC and Cognizant visit the campus for mass recruitments, and offer decent salary packages to CSE and IT graduates. Other companies recruit a lesser number of students, but they offer handsome salary packages. For a hardworking IT student, LPU offers good placement opportunities. Faculty-  The IT faculty is decent, and some of the teachers are very good. Exposure-  LPU is home to students from various parts of the country, and thus, it offers excellent exposure. Each student gets a platform at LPU to enhance their skills and learn new things. These are some of the many reasons I chose LPU for my B.Tech IT. Read more

Ques. How many marks are required to get an admission in NIT Warangal CSE, IT or in the electronics branch?

● Top Answer By Shivani Singh on 19 Aug 23

Ans. To get admission into NITW, you need to secure a certain rank in the JEE Mains exam.  These are the closing ranks for round 6 of JoSAA counseling to get admission into these branches at NIT Warangal, for 2023: Course Quota  Seat-Type Gender Closing Rank CSE HS Open Gender-neutral 3115 CSE OS Open Gender-neutral 2413 ECE HS Open Gender-neutral 6516 ECE OS Open Gender-neutral 5814 ECE (VLSI) HS Open Gender-neutral 7103 ECE (VLSI) OS Open Gender-neutral 7047 EEE HS Open Gender-neutral 11388 EEE OS Open Gender-neutral 9265 Out of the branches mentioned by you, NIT Warangal does not provide B.Tech IT. You can also check the 2023-2024 cutoffs of other branches and categories for NITW However, I would like to tell highlight a few things- Electronics and Electrical value your ability to remember random figures rather than polishing your technical knowledge.  The syllabus and question paper for both these courses is below par at NIT Warangal. The syllabus for them is outdated. Placements are high at NITW, but software profiles are mostly offered.  Most students start coding from their pre-final year because of low placement chances in the core companies of other disciplines.  The college infrastructure and hostel facilities may disappoint you.  Government colleges other than IIT D, B, and K are lagging behind in reality. They have subpar infrastructure and their administration is old and rigid. They offer no extra support and opportunities to their students. All of this combined with the rigorous academic schedule causes plenty of frustration. Read more

Ques. Which is the better option; doing computer engineering at SVNIT-Surat, Gujarat or b.tech in ict at DA-IICT Gandhinagar, Gujarat?

● Top Answer By Jatin Shaha on 03 Jan 24

Ans. I am a resident of Surat, and SVNIT is very close to my house. During my college admissions, I was in the same dilemma. So I spent about a week at both the colleges to make a more informed choice. One of the professors at SVNIT suggested that I opt for B.Tech ICT at DAIICT over Computer Engineering at SVNIT. He told me that DAIICT is a better option for computer related branches. Here are some pros of joining DAIICT as a B.Tech ICT student- The placements at DAIICT are comparatively better. Though the NITs have an established brand name, the reputation of DAIICT is better than SVNIT in top companies like Amazon, Morgan Stanley, MAQ, etc. It has a greater number of GSoC qualifiers, and a better environment for Open Source Coding. The environment is superior for competitive coding as well, and students participate in great numbers in online programming contests on platforms like codeforces, etc. A large number of students prepare for exams like GRE, CAT, etc. Thus, a B.Tech ICT at DAIICT is better in comparison to Computer Engineering at SVNIT.Read more
