IIIT Kottayam BTech Admission 2024 is expected to start in June- July 2024, based on the JEE Mains score. The applications for JEE Mains (Session II) are open. The last date to register for the same is March 2, 2024. JEE Mains (Session II) examinations will be conducted from April 1 to April 15, 2024. The results will be announced on April 25, 2024.

IIIT Kottayam B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria put forth for admission to BTech courses provided at IIIT Kottayam have been listed as follows:

Aspiring candidates must have passed the 10+2 qualifying examination with 50% marks at least.
The candidates must have a compulsory science stream in the Higher Secondary Level comprising Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

How to Apply for JEE Mains 2024?

Applying for JEE Mains 2024 is a four-step process that includes registration, filling out the application including academic details and personal information, uploading the required documents, and paying the registration fee. Given below is a step-wise process for applying for the JEE Mains 2024:

Visit the official website of JEE Mains registrations, jeemain.nta.ac.in or jeemain.ntaonline.in
Log in using the details provided and fill in all the information asked in the application form.
The details to be filled include name, DOB, Gender, Nationality, State of eligibility, etc.
Candidates also will have the option to choose any 4 exam centres according to their preference.
Then, the candidates are required to scan and upload the documents and photographs
The next step is to pay the JEE Main fees 2024 through Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card/UPI.
Click on “Submit”
Take out a printout of the form for future reference.

Note- The registration fee for the general candidate is INR 1000 and INR 800 (male and female). Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category must pay the registration fee of INR 500.

The campus is situated at a scenic location near Valavoor village in Kottayam, Kerala. The view is quite breathtaking, especially during the rainy season.The Summers,on the other hand,can be really harsh. Campus is clean and well maintained.
Most of the professors are really helpful. Also seniors take lots of initiatives through various clubs(technical as well as cultural).The curriculum ensures that students are taught and prepared according to the current industrial requirements.

The worst thing about the college is definitely the mess food. I have experienced hostel Life since 5th grade. But never ever I have seen such poor quality food. Vegetarians like me will surely suffer the most. Atleast some fruits should be given...
The sports facilities are in absolute shambles. Most of the schools have better facilities than the college. Football and cricket share the same ground(rather just a open,plain and dusty area). Volleyball has a seperate court that gets flooded

The curriculum offers a well-rounded approach, covering foundational theories as well as practical applications, which is crucial for a holistic understanding. Opportunities for internships, projects, and case studies were emphasized, providing hands-on experience that is essential for skill development. The involvement of experienced and knowledgeable faculty members who are active in their fields ensures that the curriculum is both current and relevant. The exams are easy to moderate although sometimes they can be really challenging.

Uncovering the Truth : A systematic review of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kottayam

The course curriculum is quite different from all other engineering colleges, it is highly job oriented and real time technological aspects. This course on comparison with other institute courses prepares you really well for real world applications and further academic pursuits. Unlike every engineering colleges in India, IIITK does not have chemistry physics and biology during the first year it directly jumps on to the technical subjects and personality development subjects. There is one mid semester exam and one end semester exam along with lab exams before the end semester exams, regular quizzes and viva.

Class room is big with touchscreen board
Classes ends at 3pm and someday 12 so u could get back to hostel quickly

Mess food is so bad every have to eat from outside
Telungu,tamil fa's speaking skill are so bad that we dont understand wtha they are speaking

Iiit kottayam follows iiit hyderabad syllabus the faculty over here are all PhD scholars with teaching experience the curriculum is tough compared to normal engineering colleges accademic wise getting more than 8 cgpa is hard Exams are same a other colleges 1 mid sem and end sem exams along with quiz,viva,assignments,lab exams etc

The main think i liked is nothing but i can interact with many friends from different parts of india.
One thing i liked in college is they are trying to develop infrastructure day by day

There is no enough shops near the college purchase anything
The mess food is almost a worst and it is compulsory to pay the mess fee

I am very much satisfied about this curriculum actually our exam structure was like 2 mid sem exams and then followed by end sem exam but now it is changed to 1mid sem exam and then direct to end sem exam.And one more important thing that i liked here is eventhough i am ece student there are many subjects related to cse students so we can get knowledge for that subjects also..

It's a university. Our own standard syllabus which will make the students capable of doing any type of work regarding the course they took. No improvement is needed in academics. In even semesters 1mid exam . Odd semester 2 mid exams.

Friends and people are pretty good and Events

Faculty are sometimes so self centered and showing off.
Some of the teaching assistants have more attitude than faculty.

The course and syllabus is based on industry experience and not just theory orientated and its a pretty good syllabus. But faculty depends on whom you get as sometimes some are just coming to class and going. But there are good faculties but not everyone is same.

About the IIITK_the college life of a student

Faculty, the professors here are highly qualified and they are assisted with teaching assistants from morning 8 am to 8pm.
Environment, The campus is full of greenish and we literally have 3 clubs for only coding itself

Attendance of a student must be above 80%. The consolation fee for 1 class exceeds
i hate the hostel, there is no proper wifi

the teaching process is good and a bit fast, our lecturers are good at their communication and their behaviour. We start our classes at 8 am to 4pm it ends. and we get some rest for an hour everday . sometimes we get stressed due to studies and our semester ends in 4 months . It just seems like we are completeling our semester very fast and every saturday and sunday we get holiday so we can stay in hostel and study or take rest lectures are good at studies but they should be close to students they should make a small joke in a class for 2mins so our students mind can be fresh and we again concentrate in the class.
