Friends and people are pretty good and Events

Dislikes

Faculty are sometimes so self centered and showing off.
Some of the teaching assistants have more attitude than faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course and syllabus is based on industry experience and not just theory orientated and its a pretty good syllabus. But faculty depends on whom you get as sometimes some are just coming to class and going. But there are good faculties but not everyone is same.

Class Size : 140Course Fees : INR 1400000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

There are a lot of intership programs and actually outside india as well. There are scholarships at Germany and some of our seniors have got it and described as pretty good experience. There are google devs workshops as well.

Placement Experience :

The placements offered by the collage was pretty good till last year but we dont know about this year. But I think the placements are there not as good as we expected but it is something. After this degree i think i am just going to take MBA. 100% students are getting placed but this year results isnt yet out. The highest package last year was 58 LPA.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is a lot of Summer internships provided by the collage for the summer vacations in India as well as utside India. But as its my first year i dont know much about it. The fee is IIT standard fees. There are a lot of state finacials aids provided to some of the students.

Campus Life :

The campus life depends on your friends. It has been good experience for me but the campus life is not what i expected but there are some students who are just studying 24x7 even during the collage events. But there are a lot of clubs and stuff. There are a lot of sports activities and if you could excel in any extra cirricular activites then it would help you a lot in the long run. There are no student social groups nor any political parties.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facility provided by the collage is pretty good. In one room there are 3 students and everything is pretty good. Meal quality needs to be improved by a lot as most people dont even go to mess. And you get outside collage hostels for first year.

Hostel Fee : INR 60000 per year

Admission :

Admission process was fairly simply. I have taken JEE exam but i have applied through DASA and the process was fairly simple. The cutoff i think for CSE was about 38000 but in DASA was around 5 lakh range. Reservations are there for students. The exams are JEE for admissions and depends on your study. Admissions could be improved if it was all online.

Campus is choosen wisely

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually the university curriculum is bit old fasion.Like the technology is a way head of the things that we are studying in the sessions.But the basis are well learned from it.The improvement we need in that is that to get out of the instituion as a proffesional that can handle the new technolgy that the real world work in.The curriculum is need to improve so much as per the technology improves the students want to know what all changes that are happening in the real world and they want to be trained according to that.

My Journey at MITS

Placement Experience:

Our campus placement will begin from 7th semester. From 5th semester onwards college will provide training for placements and we have placement cell for this. An average LPA of 5 is provided from our college. Good amount of companies visit our campus for placement and we also get oppertunity to go for off campus placement

Placement Experience:

In the 7th and 8th semesters, the students become eligible for campus placements. Infosys, and Spyridian, are the companies that often come for placements .3 -4 lakhs is the highest package given by these companies.The percentage of students getting placement is about 50-70. My plan is to go for higher studies or to go for a job.

SEEING STCET THROUGH MY VISION

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards we could attend placement interviews and many companies used to approach our college but mostly IT companies as I was in civil dept the construction companies were very less or NIL. In our batch, most of the students got placed and many offer letters but the only disadvantage was the offers were not from the core companies.
