Placement Experience:
At IIT Bhilai students are eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester however one can earn PPO through internships. Many growing startups offer placements here. The highest package goes up to 42LPA with an average of up to 17LPA after my degree I plan to pursue a career in SDE or SWE roles and then continue my studies for research in PhD with the experience gained here

We have a record of 100% placement from our branch CSE with an average package of 27.43LPA. Students start doing internships from 3rd year mostly with placements at the end of 4th year. Different companies like Amazon, Accenture,Google, Tata, Microsoft, etc., visit here. The Highest package this year is 48 LPA .

The highest salary package offered is 28 LPA, the lowest salary package is 11 LPA, and the average salary package is 15 LPA. Around 50% of students get internships. The placements provided in CSE are good. Amazon, VM Ware, Commvault, Air Asia, Cognizant, TCS, Infosys, LTI, CDAC, Paytm, Jio, Radisys, Media. Net, Sterlite, etc, are the recruiting firms.

Course Curriculum Overview:
My Course is Quite popular everywhere and also I learned some coding in 11 -12 the standard which increased my curiosity about the CSE branch. Faculty members are very supportive and available every time. Term Paper was there In Every month. Exam pressure is very high. The Girl to boys ratio in our branch is quite good in comparison to all other iits It is about 3:1.
Placement Experience:
In the 4th year 1st semester, the students get placed and many companies will come, the highest package is 36 lakh per annum. We have to maintain at least 7.5 CGP but placements do not depend on grades. If we present well in the interview and exams we will get good packages.

There are many examples that new colleges are not able to provide placement for the first batch being part of the first batch also comes with a drawback of no placement but it is not with IIT Bhilai. The college manages to invite a good number of companies and the college was successful in inviting more than 75+ companies for the college placement drive which is a very good achievement for the college. The highest placement offer was around 21 LPA and the average salary offer was 11 LPA which is something unexpected.
Remarks:
College is over all good but it will be excellent if we get a permanent campus ,it will be ready by 2022. If we have a new permanent campus we will have good faculty , academics , curriculum,sports , extracurricular activities.

Is life at super new IITs like Dharwad and Bhilai boring?
Life at IIT Bhilai is great.
The labs are open 24*7 for access, and the annual techno-cultural fest of IIT Bhilai ‘Meraz’ is the biggest in Chhattisgarh. It takes place after 1st tierce exams, which are held in September. The hostels have recreational rooms with TV, TT tables and Carrom Boards. Badminton courts are also available for hostellers. There are plenty of clubs at IIT Bhilai, like the Electronics Club (Electromos), the Dance Club, the Music Club, etc. You can apply for any of these.
Apart from the fest, Inter IIT competitions and Diwali celebrations take place during odd semesters. The highlight of even semesters is Prayatna, the Inter-College Sports League. It lasts for 2 months, and is a lot of fun. You can either participate in the league or cheer for your friends. The college also hosts Smart India Hackathon and Cult Night in which the Music, Dance and Dramatics Clubs showcase their talent. Then, there are Holi Celebrations.
No college is boring, be it IIT Dharwad or IIT Bhilai. Each place has its own clubs and societies. It totally depends on you whether you spend your time sitting in the hostel room, or participate in various college activities.
