Biological science and bioengineering is Research oriented course . As there will be more labs we can understand more. So I choose this branch. The curriculum is well maintained. The is designed like that we can complete all our department courses by third year and we can opt for any other department courses as open electives. It s basically gains knowleged about different branches as well. Increasing some more subjects in the department involving recent developments like machine learning, AI etc. There will a assignment for two weeks and small exam for one month and midsem and end sem exams, debates, presentations, quizzes etc will be there. And it will be different from subject to subject. And depends only professor as well.

The curriculum is very simple and diverse in the college. It offers a variety of courses other than your own curriculum and further the courses are very relevant so that you can keep up with the pace.

The main reason why I choose this course because I am geniunely very much exicited how engineering can be used in biological fields. I have an option of choosing a branch which is considered better than BSBE but I decided to not opt for that branch only because of my intrest. If I talk about my branch there is around 50 students so faculty student ratio is very good its feels like I'm in school. There is no doubt about the faculty Qualification of faculties who is teaching in IITs but what I feel is that they are not able to deliver what exactly they want Or may be they know that much which is above our understanding limits. So before Exams online sources like youtube and other educational platforms are key to success. Talking about Exams Mid sem and End sem is conducted as per tentative dates and there are also quizes in between the courses which are basically class tests and that are also grades so you have to also score good in that. It is not that hard to pass any course

I chose this course due to my immense interest in this field. The faculty-to-student ratio in My department is around 1:12. The faculties are highly educated individuals with post doctorate degrees from well-known foreign universities in their respective domains. All of these teachers teach in a very interesting manner that everything seems easy and amusing. Two exams are held every semester, midsems after 1.5 months of the start of the first sem followed by endsems after the other 1.5 months. Quizzes are held on certain dates keeping into consideration the convenience of students and faculties.

I chose this course due to my interest in research, and IITs are the best platform for research and higher studies. The faculty is excellent, the professors are talented and you also get tuition for doubts and question-solving.

I am chosen this course because of the my jee rank but after coming in iitk i am realise that this course is interesting for me. if anyone also required to take a other department course then they also take some course take as elective . here the faculty and student ratio are good for every class have tutorial session and the tutorial class strength is small because there are many section divide for the tutorial. The qualification of the faculty is highly good and more experienced in the teaching .Here the in exam policy there have quiz , midsem exam and fianl exam. the exam scheduled timely and announced in the first course handout or in the class. for the passing of the course required to attend the all classes and tutorial then you pass the course easily but some course required hard work for the passing.

The faculty-student ratio depends on the department to department My department has a batch strength of 70 students whereas electrical peeps have a strength of 190 The faculty here are highly qualified. Almost all have done PhD in respective fields that too from colleges around the world and are ready to help you out if u ask for it. We have our exams namely quizzes, mid sem and ends It all happens within 4 months Exams are not difficult to pass but its really difficult to get a good grade because the competition here is massive. Also, you must be looking at your friends who are from let's say tier 2 college, they study just one or two days before the exams and gets result but there is nothing as such.

Well, I choose this course because this is the best which I can get at my rank, but after joining the institute, this course sounds interesting to me. The faculty: student ratio here is around 1:9. The faculty is highly qualified here and have great knowledge of their respective fields, however, I would say that they somewhat lack in teaching. Most of the students have to study by themselves to get good grades in exams. Plus the academics at IIT Kanpur are hard. Within a few weeks of the beginning of our semester, quizzes were organized and after a few weeks, our mindsets started. Just after the midterms were finished, we got the dates for the end seems, which took place one and a half months later. In short, you will have to give exams very frequently. If you want to pass, you'll have to study one week before the exams, but if you want to excel, you'll have to study hard and regularly.

I chose this course because I am interested in research, and Kanpur has the best research culture. There is an excellent faculty-to-student ratio. There is 500 faculty member on 8000 students. All the faculties are Ph.D.-level qualified. There are some faculty which are not good at teaching, but there are lots of faculty which are very good at teaching. For the exam, it is not easy. You have to take classes regularly and complete assignments on time to at least pass.
Most students join IITs with the mindset of changing their branch to a more preferred one after the first year. But in reality, once you come here you will realize that branch hardly matters here. This is because most students, especially those with no specific area of interest, which seems to be your case too, tend to go for non-core jobs for which the branch does not matter. What matters is your CPI and your overall profile and achievements.
Those adamant about changing their branch can avail of the facility easily. The branch change depends on 2 factors, your CGPA and the availability of seats in the branch you want to get changed into.
Honestly, it’s almost impossible to get a branch change into top branches like Mech, Electrical, or CSE. The chances are rare but worth trying. Most companies consider students from all the departments for placements. So, IIT Kanpur is a good option whether you want a branch change or not.
