The faculties at IIIT ALLAHABAD are very good. The ratio of faculties is that a single faculty is allotted to a class of approx 100 students. There are 5-6 teaching assistants under a faculty which makes them more approachable.

The experience with the faculty members is quite good. The professors are quite friendly and their teaching style is also good. We can approach the professors, but some sort of chronological approach is needed to be followed like you should mail at first and then if the problem is still not solved then you can go and visit the professor.

Well, most of the professors are really interactive and effective. Some of them are eager to teach as well. But some of them really don't care. The ration of professor and student is much better since it is a small college with only three branches and nearly 450 students. Professors are available in their offices and helpful as well.

The faculty here are qualified but not good teachers. They are more of researchers than teachers. Don't expect any extraordinary teachings from them considering the fact that the college is Tier 1. But most of the things that are asked in the exams are related to the topics covered in class. So if you are a little regular then you can easily score well. All the materials are provided to you and for understanding you can refer to youtube. Students don't interact with faculty directly much unless it's some important issue like requesting to allow the student to sit for end sems even after having less than 75% attendance or whether you can give a retest since you were sick. Most of the faculties are understanding and will approve your request. We have Teaching Assistants (M. Tech/ pHD) students with whom we can directly interact for any issues regarding marks. Teaching Assistants check our papers so it will be beneficial if you have good relations with them.

The faculty to student ratio is good . Along with faculties , there are multiple teaching assistants(TAs). Faculties here are qualified but teaching approach of some faculties is average. One can interact with faculties easily for subject related matter.

In terms of faculty members, there's certainly a mix of experience and expertise , there's room for improvement in certain areas. Some instructors have good knowledge and teaching skills. However, there are also instances where faculty members could enhance their engagement with students , fostering more interactive environment.
Dr. Rahul Kala- assistant professor at the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics is one of the faculty members at IIIT Allahabad. He indeed is one of the finest of all. Here are something you should know about him -
Naturewise, Dr. Kala is one fine person who is so very humble and simple in his ways. Unless he doesn't have any lectures or meetings to attend, Dr. Kala arrives at his office around 9:00-9:30 AM and departs right at 9:00 PM in the night.
He can be described as someone who is-
To capsule everything about Dr. Kala, the point that I've tried to make is that you'll receive the best guidance and learning from him. His company is always appreciated. Whether it is anyone from their labs or lecture rooms- they'd always praise having Dr. Kala around.
It would be completely wrong in saying that faculty is not good or not well educated. There are only a few teachers who lack spoken English skills. This is probably a great problem for students who do not understand Hindi and are more comfortable with English. If a teacher cannot speak English, it doesn’t mean that he/she is a bad teacher. Teachers anyways have more knowledge than us.
Each faculty have a lot of potential and capabilities. There are a lot of other aspects in which they outshine. People stuck with a mindset of criticism will never appreciate their teachers, even if they teach well.
Despite their poor English, they are good at speaking and understanding it and are always ready to help the students in whichever way possible. You can go to the professors and ask your doubts after the lecture is over. The faculty will definitely clear all your doubts, moreover, in English, in the language, you are comfortable in understanding.
All this is just because the mother tongue of most of the teachers and faculty members is Hindi and hence sometimes end up explaining the topic in Hindi. This doesn’t mean the teachers are bad at teaching.
Since my friend is an alumnus of IIIT Allahabad, she will be well suited to talk about the faculty of the institute.
All the teaching staff of IIIT Allahabad is Ph.D. holders from institutes that are reputed, for example, IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, etc. Some of them have received their Ph.D. from institutes like the University of Reading, UK. So it goes without saying that the faculty members have expertise in their respective areas of teaching.
The teaching style of the faculty is the same as that of other institutes like the IITs and/or IISc. They teach during the class. If you have doubts, you can ask the faculty and they will be very happy to resolve the same. They are very supportive.
Don’t make faculty a major deciding factor for choosing an institute. Both IIIT Allahabad and MNNIT are reputed institutes in the field of IT.
