The coding culture of IIIT Allahabad is really very good. Even some of my friends became 4star and 5star coder in 1st and 2nd sem only
The college's different society do regularly conducts Hackathons and funny and interesting challenges and games based on the interest of students

The college IIIT Allahabad is located in Jhalwa, Prayagraj. which is a remote location. This restricts the students to do their desirable things

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is not that relevant as some subjects are taught just to maintain the credits in each semester and are of no use in practical day-to-day life. while some are good and their frequency and timing of exams are also good. moreover, the college is very bad at giving results on time, as it gives the result 3 to 4 months after the final exam

Class Size : 105Course Fees : INR 300000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

As I am a first-year student, for a first-year student, student needs to pay and grab an internship oppurtunity where he or she is taught and a series of projects are being carried out by the offering company and subsequently rewards and certificates are provided. Further in 2nd year, you can grab the internship oppurtunity based on your talent.

Placement Experience :

From 3rd year onwards students are eligible for campus placements. approx each and every company visit our college and the highest package offered was 1 .04 cr as an international package this year. The average package is approx 27 lpa. Approx 90% students got placed. my plan is to build a startup.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tution fee for the Btech course 4year is approximately 12 lakhs for GEN, EWS and OBC candidates while for SC / ST it is approximately 4 lakhs for the whole course. you can apply for govt. and private scholarship, whichever is applicable to you. campus employment opportunities are possible only with TAship after 3rd or 4th year.

Campus Life :

The overall campus life is good. the campus is filled with a lush green environment. social aspect is also good for those who take part in social activities. club environment is nice. Each club is doing its best. and infrastructure is quite good with lush green campus of a 100 acres of campus size.

Hostel Facilities :

The Hostel room condition is quite good. Each room consists of 2 students and a spacious environment with 1 bed 1 table 1 chair, 1 table lamp and an ethernet facility. mess food is not bad, is tolerable. mess charge is quite high.

Hostel Fee : INR 16720 per year

Admission :

I got admission here based on my JEE MAINS (OBC) rank which is 1898. The admission process was smooth. the cutoff off for obc cadiadate was 984-2205. for sc/st cuoff was 321 - 1215. for the general candidate, it was 672 - 5318.

Faculty :

The faculty-to-student ratio is quite good in IIIT Allahabad. some of the profs are really very great as they encourage us to think outside of the box. some of the faculty are really good at teaching and they do interact a lot with the students.

Placement Experience:

The students can start applying for college placements from 7th semester onwards. Various companies visit for placement opportunities. The highest package was 24L for one year. The percentage of students getting college placements is very low considering the competition in this field. My plans are to join the army, but keeping the engeneering field as a backup.
