IIIT ALLAHABAD GENUINE REVIEW

  • College has not much diversity in domain of engineering as only ECE, IT candidates are there.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course structure has been recently updated to focus solely on tech-oriented subjects. Non-relevant subjects such as chemistry and engineering drawing have been eliminated. The exams follow the CCLCAA system, consisting of three exams (C1, C2, and C3) at regular intervals. To pass, students must achieve a minimum combined score of 18 marks in C1 and C2, and at least 12 out of 40 in C3. RegulaThe course structure is totally updated like there is no chemistry and engineering drawing like subject which has no relevance in IT industry and only those subjects are in core which are tech oriented and the exams are also CCLCAA based upto my year means there are three exam C1,C2 and C3 at regular interval in whch we have to score at least 18 marks combinely in C1+C2 to pass and at least 12 out of 40 in C3 to pass and regular assignments are given which make academics hectic but yet diving into core course explanation and doing assignment ownself helps us in making ownself more tech oriented.

Internships Opportunities :

After the 4th semester ends, companies will begin recruiting for internships and placements. They will typically start with a coding round and shortlist candidates based on their resumes. It is important to have at least two full stack and MERN stack projects mentioned in your resume. Companies such as Google, Amazon, Media.net, Atlassian, and other top MNCs offer internships with an average stipend of 1 lakh per month for a duration of 2 months.

Placement Experience :

The 2019-2023 batch achieved impressive placement statistics, with a median salary of 30 LPA, an average salary of 32 LPA, and the highest salary reaching 1.5 crore. Around 130 companies, including Google, Amazon, Flipkart, and Media.net, conducted recruitment drives on campus, leading to successful placements for about 99% of the registered students. After completing my degree, I aspire to pursue a career as a Software Development Engineer in a leading multinational corporation to advance my professional life. Placement stats of 2019 batch is available which is very nice and top notch compared to topmost IITs as median salary is 30 lpa and average salary is 32 lpa and highest is 1.5 crore and approx 130 companies have visited the campus like Google, Amazon,Flipkart , Media.net and other top notch MNC'S and approx 99 % student got placed who have registered and my plan is to work as SDE in top MNC after getting the degree and make my pofessional corporate life more better

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The total fee structure for the entire 4-year program is approximately 9 lakh, including hostel and mess fees which are mandatory. For SC/ST category students, tuition fees are exempted, meaning the total cost for 4 years is around 3-4 lakh. Additionally, I have achieved a top 0.2 percent CGPA in my 2nd year, which has earned me a scholarship oI am a General category student so my fee structure of overall 4 year is approx 9 lakh with hostel and mess fee ncluding as that is must as you cannot deny it from admin side so ou have to pay it and for sc/s category you ae exempted from tuition fee means u can think in approx 3-4 lakh your 4 year will be pass out and also i am in top 0.2 percent CGPA scoring students in my 2nd year so i have avail rs 36000 scholarship and also there are oher scholarship like vivekanand scholarship which avail you approx 20000 and NSP which give you 12000 per year if you are general category. 10 % hike in tuition fee per semester.

Campus Life :

Our classroom facilities are well-equipped There are two fest one is known as Aporaksha which is tech fest of our college which include all competitons of dev and coding and other is cultural fest which is Effervescence which include all types of fun and games and cultural night which is north India biggest college fest. Also coming to out classroom facilities are properly given like AC and projectors and neat and clean seminar scenario benches for proper view of board and for sports in boys and girls badmintion and table tennis court are provided and in camps all outdoor activities court are provded like swimming, squash, football and student-run social groups names as Gymkhana which is polictical body and for technical bodies there are Geekhaven, GDSC, Club of Professionals society.

Hostel Facilities :

When you are allocated a room in BH5, which is the Boys Hostel-5 for first-year students, you will need to show your ID card at the warden's office after college registration. Once verified, you will be assigned a room with a table, chair, bed, and a wall-attached almirah. Additional items can be purchased from nearby shops. The initial quality of the mess is good, When you will be allocated a room firstly in BH5 mean Boys hostel-5 if you are first year then showing id card in your mail (it will come ater registration in college) you have to first go near warden office then by showing id card a room will be allocated to you then you will get a table, chair

Admission :

I secured approximately 7500th rank in JEE Advanced and around 4500th rank in JEE Mains. I was allotted this college through CSAB round counselling. Admission to this college is only possible through JEE Main ranks, meaning that candidates from the general category need to score at least 99.4 percentile to secure a seat. The admission process is facilitated by JOSSA counselling and CSAB rounds, which typically begin in August after the declaration of JEE Advanced results. I have ranked approx 7500 in Jee Advanced and approximately 4500 in Jee Mains and I got this college in CSAB round counselling.

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio is 80:1, and our faculty members are highly qualified, with some coming from top IITs and NITs. Students can easily interact with them during their office hours, and they are very approachable.Faculty to student ratio is 80:1 and faculties are well qualified.

4the year students are eligible to sit for the placements. Placements here are not so good frankly speaking and one who wants a good placement needs to apply for off campus placements. Average package here is somewhat 4lpa and highest be at 12lpa. I am a 2nd year student and planning to give gate exam for better placement scenario.

The students can start applying for college placements from 7th semester onwards. Various companies visit for placement opportunities. The highest package was 24L for one year. The percentage of students getting college placements is very low considering the competition in this field. My plans are to join the army, but keeping the engeneering field as a backup.
