Campus is not big and is in outskirts of city.
Sports culture is not so great and very few people play sports everyday.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum for Electrtronics & Communication Engineering(ECE) is good but you will not find many student pursuing ECE core. Maximum students prefer to go or work in IT sector. Now , Exams are held in Mid sem-Endsem format. Before C1-C2-C3 system was applicable.

Class Size : 150Course Fees : INR 160000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Many companies visit here for giving internship opportunities like Google , Sprinklr , Microsoft etc. Highest stipend - 250000 per month. Lowest stipend- 35000 per month. Median stipend- 100000 per month.

Placement Experience :

More than 130 companies visited IIIT Allahabad. The average package is 26LPA Highest Package is 1.03CR Percent of Students getting placement - 90-95% The data is still very good considering the recession and laying off.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tution fees is approximately 80000 per semester which is better than many IIITs. Students can avail the scholarships like NSP , State Scholarships etc. In MP state scholarship(MMVY) , you get full tution refund.

Campus Life :

The name of annual cultural fest is EFFERVESCENCE. It is usually held in the month of November. The name of technical fest is APAROKSHA. It is usually held in the month of April. The name of sports fest is ASMITA. It is usually held in the month of March.

Hostel Facilities :

There are 5 Boys hostel and 3 Girls hostels. Food quality is good and and it is approved by all other IIIT students when they came here for Inter IIIT. You immediately get hostel after admission. One get all basic facilities here .

Hostel Fee : INR 20000 per year

Admission :

To get admission in IIIT Allahabad , you must qualify JEE Mains Examination.After JEE Mains , you get seat here through JoSAA Conselling. JEE Mains is held twice in a year in January and April. For General students , you are required to get under10000 ranks for ECE branch and under 5000 for IT.

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio is good . Along with faculties , there are multiple teaching assistants(TAs). Faculties here are qualified but teaching approach of some faculties is average. One can interact with faculties easily for subject related matter.

4the year students are eligible to sit for the placements. Placements here are not so good frankly speaking and one who wants a good placement needs to apply for off campus placements. Placement Experience:

The students can start applying for college placements from 7th semester onwards. Various companies visit for placement opportunities. The highest package was 24L for one year. The percentage of students getting college placements is very low considering the competition in this field. My plans are to join the army, but keeping the engeneering field as a backup.
