I think it better to teach the advance subjects and advance teaching methods in the classrooms ,its fine now but for up coming generation they need more practical work compare to theory work. More labs and experiment should be provided.

The courses are fine the curriculum is neither new nor outdated , the new system of minor courses are really helpful , and eee course is kinda hectic with the lab works and hard maths topics and also some institution cores isn't even relevant for some courses

SINCE OUR CURRICULUM IS 1 YEAR OLD, IN THE FIRST SEMESTER ITSELF THEY WILL START TEACHING ABOUT ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, ELECTRONIC ETC. IN THE STARTING U MIGHT HAVE DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND THE TIMETABLE GIVEN TO YOU AS IT IS VERY CONFUSING, BUT WITHIN 3-4 DAYS U WILL GET USED TO IT

Studying in B.Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering the course is highly relevant in today's day and time. All departments tend to keep their course curriculum up to date with inclusion of latest trends in the industry so that the students don't have any lack of knowledge during their real world application. The course however lacks efficient teaching methods and rests on the old world black board and chalk which is an individuals choice of preference. Some teachers can give notes while some wouldn't move a chalk while still explain the concepts crystal clear. Exams can be tedious but they are well spread so as the students don't have a hard time.

I selected B tech in electrical and electronic engineering. Our first sem inculdes some core subjects along with a lab, mathematics and graphics. In second sem we moved to study about digital systems, physics and mechanics. They conduct mid and end exams.
The new curriculum happening in NIT calicut is very good. As final year can be concentrated to placement and for future opportunities. And the practical sessions in the curriculum is also helpful. As exams are happening only twice a sem that is veey helpful to study and understand the subject

The curriculum provided by the college is at the best these includes all the necessary aspects of the course and the faculty members are very strict in following the curriculum. Also exams are conducted whic includes class tests for internals and a mid sem exam and an endsem exam every semester.

I took this course just because I had no other option and also interest in electrical field and btech will be good way to make a perfect carrier for me. EEE curriculum is very tight you will have so many courses and labs . Classes will be from morning 8 to 1 or afternoon 1 to 5or6. Labs will be of three hours and in each sem you will have 1 or 2 labs . Record writing is the most hectic thing in EEE we have to write both rough and fair record of the same experiment. Syllabus is very tough for me it takes time to understand some of the topics. Some of the professors are well experienced and they take classes nicely but some of them are boring and not experienced enough to teach well. We have midsem exam of 30 marks which is 1.5 hrs and ensem of 50 marks 3hrs and 20 internals and grading system is mostly relative but some of them are absolute grading.

Best ever college for studies and placement. There are lot of teachers who always ready to help for students. There are all lab facilities. But to get a good cgpa we have to work hard . Every semester we have to write a lots of assignments which I thinks just a time waste .

Electrical and Electronics is one of the main course in Engineering. The curriculum being followed was updated in 2017. Practical applications are a little behind. Some semesters are heavily loaded while some are free. The final year project helps a lot in understanding all the concepts of the course. The syllabus is perfect for cracking exams like GATE. Campus placements helps a lot of students to get placed. Top companies like Texas Instruments, Bosch, Adithya Birla etc comes for recruiting. In every semester, one mid semester and end semester exam will be conducted. Internal marking is done through tutorials, mcqs, assignments or projects. The examinations are intermediate.

Between NIT Calicut and BITS Hyderabad, the latter is the better option irrespective of the branch you are getting. Here are a few points of difference between the two institutes.
In my opinion, BITS Hyderabad should be your preference provided that you have no monetary issues.
