I personally loved machine learning and it's working so I preferred mechanical engineering. The academic curriculum is fine.In my opinion practical sessions can be much more improved and the exams valuation should be much more liberal

Everyone likes the curriculum of CUSAT school of engineering. Personally I likes curriculum of soe because it has a well structured and simple as compared to ktu syllabus, The recently updated syllabus again being simple as compared to my seniors syllabus. New 2023 scheme syllabus includes every year students must take a 10 days internship and any industry or institutional workshop.exams are simple if you have a minimum marks in internal so you need only 20 marks in semester exam for pass that subjects.

The faculty members of cusat is Good and they will help to improve our skills and support for projects and extra. Teachers are good and highly talented. In every classroom room there was a smart board teachers will teach you either through smart board or Normal Greenboards. The internal and semester exams will conducted by soe and internal exams will very easy for you but university Semesters exams little bit tough as compared to internal exams not much difficult to pass if you're average student it's okey for you

One of the reasons that made me choose BTech in Mechanical Engineering and to do it at the College of Engineering Perumon was that they offered to teach outside the book which helps to gain more knowledge rather than just for the academic side. The teachers usually complete the academic studies really early and use the remaining time for doubt clearance and application level studying. Exams are also conducted regularly with semester exams once during six months and even monthly tests are regularly conducted.

Mechanical engineering is one of the oldest branch in cusat and it has NBA tier 1 accreditation. Cusat prepares us for real world because there are many clubs in this campus who travel throughout India and out of India for many competition these clubs gives us practical experience like build formula cars, rovers etc.The exam in cusat are though and it's hard to score very good marks in end sem exams

I want to become a officer then I want to need a mechanical engineering in defence Teaching methods to improve like understanding not bihart this way is not good The time of exam comparatively good but I can't manage the time
There is no better course as the choice of a course depends a lot on one’s preferences and future prospects. You need enough passion to like a course because every course has its good and bad parts.
BTech in Mechanical Engineering should be considered only if you are interested in it genuinely because it’s quite challenging. BTech in Safety and Engineering is mistakenly considered to be the easiest BTech program but the reality is far from this. This course covers topics from Mechanical, Civil, and even Chemical. As a result, this branch ends up being the Jack of all trades but the Master of none. The students of this branch are capable of handling HSE in almost any type of industry.
The placements of the Safety and Fire Engineering program are decent despite the limited opportunities. Companies like Reliance, BPCL, IOCL, ONGC, and VEDANTHA make good offers here.
So my verdict is to go for Mechanical if you are sure about your interest in it else Safety and Fire Engineering is a good choice.
It depends where your interest lies. But if you think according to the placement opportunities, safety, and fire engineering is much more preferred due to the high demand in the industry. The faculty is also well-qualified along with the quality education that the college provides. But safety and fire engineering deal with a lot of safety responsibilities so, if you are opting for this branch be prepared for that.
However, if you don’t want to be confined in one specific area then go for Mechanical. As it is a core branch, you can get many specializations later.
So, choose a branch according to your interest.
CUSAT IT has better placement record than Mechanical Engineering. Major software companies such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Oracle, Cognizant, Tata Project, etc. visit the campus placement each year. According to the highlights of CUSAT placements, students receive an average CTC of around INR 4.3 LPA. While the highest CTC offered is around INR 40 LPA.
