- CEE Kerala has released the KEAM 2025 entrance exam schedule in an official notification. The exam will be conducted between April 24 – 28, 2025, from 2 PM to 5 PM. The application details will be released shortly at @cee.kerala.gov.in. Aspirants can check the detailed notification here.
About MACE
Mar Athanasius College of Engineering is an engineering institution located in central Kerala. The college is managed by Mar Athanasius College Association and has been aided by the Government of Kerala. It was also the first engineering college to get affiliated by the Mahatma Gandhi University. MACE, as it is popularly known, has grown by leaps and bounds since. It now has six full-fledged departments apart from the two auxiliary departments of Mathematics and Humanities & Science.

MACE Campus Facilities
The campus is spread over 25.3 hectares of land. The built-up area is 12765.51 sq.m which comprises instructional, administrative and amenities. A large area of 14036.7 sq.m. is being occupied by the workshops and laboratories. The various playgrounds take up an area of around 20000 sq.m. Following are the facilities that students can enjoy in the college:
- Library: The college has a well-furnished digital library that looks after the needs of the students. It has a collection of more than 75000 books with the latest periodicals, journals and technical papers. The library subscribes to different dailies besides other informative magazines. Students can get the photocopies or soft copies of the study materials for further reference.
- Digital Classroom: The institute uses digitalized teaching methodology by using video programs in the area of higher education research.
- Hostel: MACE has the facility for both boys and girls with separate buildings. Boys hostel can accommodate more than 200 students whereas the hostel for girls has 350 intakes.
- Extracurricular facility: The campus is well equipped with facilities for arts and cultural events. The main auditorium has a capacity for 500 audiences in a floor area of 400m2. Important functions and meetings of students are organized there. An open-air theatre is located at the heart of the campus. It has an audience capacity of 1500 and spread over an area of 2000m2. This is the main stage for annual arts festival and cultural meets. An indoor stadium is also available with a capacity of more than 3000 audiences for conducting cultural and sports events.

- The college has good facilities for learning, and the campus environment is really good.
- Our college provides better internship options for the students. Many companies provide opportunities for internships, and some of these opportunities are paid.

- Basically, the syllabus is outdated. There is a need to change the syllabus as our education system is far behind current inventions.
- All students must complete a 15-day internship during their four years of study, which they have to arrange themselves by paying a certain amount of money to companies.

Admission:
I also applied for CET and GECT but i lost both due to high cutoff rank. my rank was 1408. I get admission through the entrance exam keam ,which was conducted in online mode, the cutoffs is becoming more tight in last years. Overall admission experience was exhausting.

My parents wanted to have a strict environment with the same fee structure of government colleges.So apart from this college the options I've given was the state govt colleges,since they wanted me to study in a management operated college with government systems I've joined here and the campus is politics free.

Admission:
I had rank to join CET(College of Engineering Trivandrum), which is the toppest govt college in Kerala. But I choose Mar Athanasius College of Engineering, Kothamangalam which comes third, because it's nearer to my home(15km), as well as it's the best college when it comes to mechanical Engineering and placements To entre my college we have to get atleast 6000 rank in KEAM entrance examination.

- The campus is pretty big and we had WiFi connectivity in most places.
- The campus is overall pretty clean and the non teaching faculty are usually chill.
Dislikes
- There’s an unwanted annoying sense of authority among some of the teachers. They’re pretty average at what they do but still feel the need to show who’s in charge.
- The quality of teaching isn’t great. Most teachers are pretty average, they’re very much willing to help but they’re just super average at what they do. Most don’t even speak proper English.
Admission:
I got in via a management reservation seat. In my case, I just had to get minimum marks for the KEAM entrance exam. For general quota, you need to gain a rank as high as 1000-1200 to get admission to computer science.

Admission:
The admission was solely based off of the KEAM ranks. I got admission in the final round allotements. Most of the form fillings were done through online. The admission was taken once the allotment was out and the admission process was in college. The process of admission was in several steps. All the different steps took place in different buildings and a lot of to and from was happening which could have been avoided if the admission process had been set up in one area or even one room,like it was in another college where I went for admission after the first allotment.

In order to get selected to this course you have to write the keam exam and I got a rank of about 2300 to get admitted to this course . The exams are conducted timely.There are two series exams and one end semester exams conductor every 3-4 months. The exams can be cracked easily with preparation and doing previous year question papers

- Campus is really beautiful. Its a small campus but has plenty of lush green trees and pleasant views. The infrastructure is also pretty good
- We have a diverse population of students from all over kerala which helps and promotes integrity
Dislikes
- There are not many events conducted in college which are extra curricular and mostly there are no celebrations of festivals like diwali, christmas etc.
- Syllabus is pretty outdated mostly because of university but you can expect changes since the college has recently become autonomous.
Admission:
Since I enrolled during Corona period admission process was a bit tiring due to different allotment days. All procedures are really simple once you get selected. For selection you must clear KEAM exam with rank under 5k.

- Hostel facilities are available for both girls and boys. The food and accommodation provided by the hostel is satisfying.
Admission:
For admission, the student needs to qualify KEAM- Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical entrance examination. Reservation benefuts can be availed. Only entrance examination fees is to be paid since the instituion seeks no other payment.

To become eligible we need to pass the Kerala Entrance Examination and also a minimum of 60 % in +2 mark. No extra application fees are there only government fees. The reservation also came under the KEAM exam.
