Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) is an agricultural-engineering-based University in the state. The institute provides a great number of courses in the Agriculture department.

The courses offered by SKUAST are UG, PG, and Ph.D. The institute has 7 UG courses, 19 PG courses, and 7 Ph.D. areas.
The candidates who have cleared their higher secondary level education are eligible to apply for UG programs. The candidates who have cleared their undergraduate courses in relevant subjects are eligible to apply for PG courses.
The selection of all the courses at SKUAST Srinagar will be based on the merit list of the University Entrance Test.

Established in 2008, SKUAST was ranked 13th among State Agricultural Universities in 2018 by the National Accreditation Board of ICAR. It manages its academic operation through 13 research Centers/ Stations/ Institutes, 13 Krishi Vigyan Kendras and 01 Extension Training Centre placed in different districts of Kashmir and Ladakh Divisions of the State. Admission process is Through ICAR JRF exam Eligibility is Bachelor degree of Fisheries Science. Cut-off depends yearly . Exam most preferred is through ICAR JRF (NTA) Admission experience is fascinating and quite nervous

We dont have a playground. We want a playground

The eligibility for this course is a 12th pass. We can apply each year for this examination in SKUAST EXAMS. The cut-off for this course is almost 50 plus out of 135. But it is increasing per year. After 2 to 3 years. It will go around 70

Review for the Skaust K faculty of fisheries

We have a opportunity to have a research work in outside ICAR institute
Education was very good and practical skills were improved and more over we can able to study the cold water fisheries

Dislikes

Travel expenses were quite high but no worries about that because u will get a scholarship from ICAR
In summer i couldn't tolerate the heat exposure...the major problem is power cut

Admission:

Eligiblity of the course is to do biomaths or pure science in 12th standards and cut off around 190 /200 will Eligible for BFSC We can find the application in the state fisheries university website after the 12th results Reservation is only available as a category seat vaccancy for sc or st the cut off value will be low For BfSC 8 semesters .last 2 semester no exam as we have to do EXPERIENCE LEARNING PROGRAMME The coastal region students are have a good knowledge about fisheries so they can apply for it

The faculty was very supportive providing help at any time.
The events happens in skuast every now and then, which improves overall a student.

Dislikes

Our college was at the hill of the shalimar, which would make me tired always.

Admission:

At my time, skuast k had its own entrance examinations, and the cut off for engineering was 55 points. I got admission in 2019 .. The admission process was quite simple and it was guided at every point. The area for improvement is that the admission process and all the things related to admission should be done at one place only, which was not the case when I got admission. I had to move from one faculty to another to complete the process.

The Entrance test is held every year and Admissions are done on the basis of that entrance test. The cutoff of the Various courses varies Veterinary science which is above 85 and for other courses above 65. This is out of 120 for the general category

Admission:

The eligibility for the course is 10+2 with science biology as the main subject. The student should have 60% marks in the 10+2 examination. The application form, application fees and application dates are found at the official website of the skuast kashmir that is @skuastkashmir.nic.in The reservation benefits of OBC category is 20 percent. Mainly the admission process is offline. It goes very hectic for the students to go for offline mode. Fully online mode for admission process will be beneficial for all students.

Admission:

I was admitted to this University through NTA ICAR exam. As it is one of the best agricultural universities in India, you have to score at least 400+ marks out of 600 in the ICAR-UG exam to get a seat allotment. I have taken admission in this course through general rank. After the ICAR exam, you have to fill and lock choices in ICAR's official counselling website icarexam. Net and if you get decent marks, you can surely apply for this university.

Admission:

Firstly, I attempted NEET and was not on the merit list to get me to any Medical college. So finally I appeared in the entrance test of Skuast and fortunately got their selection. I was on a merit list and then I went to the main campus SKUAST Srinagar for counselling. They asked me to show my 10th and 12th marks card and finally alloted me a seat in BSc Agriculture.
