The question pattern for MSc Food Science and Technology Entrance Exams will vary from exam to exam. 

  • Most of the entrance exams will consist of multiple choice questions, though few exams may also ask short answer type questions. 
  • The syllabus mainly consists of topics taught at the UG level.

Campus Life:

My overall experience in this college was good. First of all when we entered the college in 2012, there was freshers party which was held in college Auditorium, there I enjoyed a lot and made new friends. There's celebration of teej festival in the college in the month of August. We get holidays for navratri. There's DJ night held in hostel 3-4 times in a year. Celebration of Christmas is also there. Halloween party is also conducted. Punjabi singers also come to the college. Farewell party is also there in hostel as well in college also. Food festival is also celebrated. Workshop are also conducted in our department where students from other colleges also come. MCM is good place to get admission.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose food tech. As a food technologist gates are open for you in food industry. We are prepared here for industry as well as to work as a lecturer in college. Course curriculum includes industrial training after 1st and second year respectively which has to be done in food industry. So these industrial trainings are plus point for our entry in the industry after we complete our degree. Final exams are conducted in the month of May June every year and in between the year two sessional exams are conducted first one in September and then second in December.

Faculty:

Faculties were divided based on the semester papers, where one faculty will be handling 2 papers. The teaching method was effective as more visualisation over theoretical explanation. They were very supportive in all aspects. We had Dr. Mohankumar sir, who was my mentor for my final year project. He was very supportive and I learned lot of new skills from him There was no faculty in which I didn't like. Everyone was good in their terms Main exams happened semester wise . We did have exams regularly as MCQs after each chapter

Actually The faculty in food Science department are too good, their teaching was Too Helpful for students I gaining knowledge and which are also helpful for competative exams, their interaction with studes was nice where they are always available if students has any queries. The exams conducted by department which has Suitable to students time like they have given sufficient time to students to prepare for exams and if it comes to labs everything is available in the labs and every student also Strictly have done the practical which are for their experience purpose only and we have 2 internals and one semester end exam and after 2 internal exams we write semister end exams and in the middle we also Have Assignments and mini tests and also we have seminars which is helpful to students in their teaching feild and we are gaining more knowledge by giving seminars where it also give courage to speak infrins of all those members l. If it comes to faculty every one is good in thir own ways

In my First year I paid 23042rs for course fees and 15793rs for mess fees for first semister and then in second semister I paid 3200 for course fees and 12432 for mess which was reduced during second semester and in my second year I paid 16048rs for mess fees and I have to pay 13700 for my course fees for my third semester and which is same as second semister I have to pay in my fourth semester and Everything like tuition fees and lab fees were included in Course fees only we should not pay it as separate and during semister end exams we have to pay Exam fee which is below than 500 like 430. When it comes to Scholarship as it is Central University we are not eligible to apply for this state scholarship but we are eligible to apply for our state scholarship EPass by this we got 20000rs and also we are eligible to National Scholarship which is NSP.

Overall infrastrure of the university is good but our department is the worst . Our department is working in the oldest building of the university . often we encounter with animals that are harmful. Softcore are a way for students to meet and interact with othr department students as univewrsity is so vast. The student life at GITAM University, Vizag is great. There is great exposure to the cultural events that take place here almost twice a year. This course is interesting to learn more opportunities will come in future. There are 6 skilled faculty teachers. Their teaching method is good depending on the individual teacher. Exams conduct in 2 year course. Internal tests and assignments marks will also be included. Internal marks are out of 40 for both practical and theory. External exams will be out of 60. Campus life is the best here, BHU is one of the largest residential universities of Asia with an area of more than 4000 acres (larger than Vatican City) situated in the holiest place of India Varanasi. It has everything on the campus like the number of playgrounds, NCC, swimming pool, temple, canteens like CCD and Nescafe. Also, the NIRF 2021 ranking of BHU is 3rd all over India. It has lots of departmental fest like SRIJAN, SHRISTI, and Kashi Yatra of IIT. It has one of the prominent Central libraries also can avail free medical benefits from Sar Sundarlal Hospital, in the BHU.

The course curriculum is quite good and elaborate. Other than core courses of food technology we have to study few application-based subjects in the food industry like Stats and computer applications. It's quite indulging, we have to make several assignments and presentations. Faculties are too good and well qualified, all are P.Hd holders. The Aloysian fest is conducted during March and Technical fest their Mini exhibition is conducted by our college. Almost all books are available in the library of a college. The classrooms are spacious and cleanliness is maintained on day to day basis. There are almost 45 clubs in the college and I chose the art club in that they were many webinars conducted and various competitions as well as activities given to us where we can actively participate. Including studies also they find our talent and help us to improve our talent. Exercises are also conducted to keep ourselves healthy. There are other benefits like sports, etc.

I choose the course because I had an AIM for that as my career. I wanted it to be my passion, source of income, etc. The faculty were all more than 5 years of experience and in my batch, 70 students were there.
