- My friend got a scholarship so i can verify it truly happens and is a great opportunity for students with low parental income to ease their parent's financial pressure
- The college has really good placements, a lot of companies offer a lot of job opportunities and the packages are quite high as well.
- Faculty expertise: iit delhi often attracts experienced and knowledgeable faculty members who are experts in their respective fields. students benefit from their guidance and mentorship.
Dislikes
- The hostel facilities are not as good as expected the meal is too bad.
- The race academy curriculum at iit delhi can be intense and demanding a leading to high levels of stress and pressure among students
- 75 percentage criteria is not good. moreover, classes are whole day from 8am to 6pm.

Likes
- Faculties in IITD are one of the best ones in the world and many of them have had significant research experiences.
- Infrastructure is world class with access to the best learning resources in the world.
- Campus life is very exciting with opportunities to growth both professionally and personally.
Dislikes
- PG students don't get hostel in the first semester/
- Less PG student participation in campus activities and clubs despite being majority population in IIT Delhi.
- Rigid course structure for PG students with less chance to explore courses from other non technical branches.

Placement Experience:
There is no strict eligibility criteria for placements but most companies hire above 7.0 CGPA for MTech students.
Many big names like Samsung, google, QUALCOMM, Microsoft etc. hire from IIT delhi.
The highest package was 51 Ipa and average is 20 Ipa. Most profiles offered were SDE, system engineer and ML engineer.
The placement record was 100% and all students got placed.
I am currently planning on taking placement from IIT Delhi and then after sometime I will explore my own startup possibilities.

- Updated syllabus covering. All the professors are teaching from the latest research paper
- Fully funded projects available for students so that they dont need to pay for project
- Strict academic calendar following without changing any dates so that everything carrying out in perfect time
Dislikes
- Relative marking system. Our grades will depend on each other student. Unhealthy competition
- Less work life balance . Maintaining course work with lab work as well as placement is really hectic
- Very less student -professor relationship.
Placement Experience:
Campus placements available from 3rd semester of the M.Tech and various companies will come for first round placements. OLA,Bajaj,Reliance etc were the core companies and the highest package this year obtained is 25lpa ,till now lowest package is 8lpa.placements are on going. 55% of the students got placed and I'm planning for pursuing job

- The campus area is very big, the campus is clean and all the facilities are available inside the campus
- The college library is very good and there is huge seating capacity for all the students
- Placement ratio is very good and average package is also good

- Some Faculties are not good and punctual in taking classes
- Cafeteria has a small seating area in the campus.
- Hostel is too far from academic building.
Placement Experience:
In MTech students become eligible for placement from 3 semester in MTech program.
Accenture, Flipkart, Deloitte etc companies has visited the college for giving placement and almost 75% students get placed.
Highest package is 25 Lac and average package is 8 Lac.
75-85% students get placed in IIT New Delhi in MTech program.

- The brand of college , IIT has a reputation
- It’s green and we can see peacocks in all seasons
- It’s not much spoon feeding so learn by yourself makes you learn better
Dislikes
- No rain shed on walkways , too tough to commute in rain
- Hostel availability is less , need to take room outside
- Girls to boys ratio in civil is 20:1 kind of
Placement Experience:
From 3rd Sem in MTech you can start sitting for placements.
Companies like Godrej , L&T, Sharpooji , Samsung comes in core , otherwise there are many in management like Bain , PWC etc .
100 percent placement is there , my plan is to go with L&T

- Faculty is highly talented and help you when you have any problem.
- You are in highly competitive environment as students are very bright

- Work load is much as compared to BTech level.
- You have to prepare reports and ppts every week.
- Hostels are not provided in first semester.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Environment engineering is quite easy as compared to other branches and apart from that you can get highly beneficial knowledge related to surrounding pollutants.With respect to improvement there should also be courses related to practical time consideration of how we can reduce the pollutants concentration. Exam occurs 2 times in 6 months but quiz happens on regular basis.

- I like the way to teaching of the faculties of iit Delhi
- The boys to girls ratio is quite high .It can vary branch to branch
- I like the campus of my college as it has decent facilities like gym , playground , canteen etc
Dislikes
- The campus of iit delhi is very small and conjusted
- There is no hostel facilities for boys for 1 semester .
- There are too much classes and labs that we have to attend .
Course Curriculum Overview:
I have taken this course to improve my skills in Water resources Enginnering . I want to gain knowledge regarding this field .
The course is very interesting to learn and have various opportunities in private sector jobs.

From 3rd semester only they'll be able to sit for Campus placements. Big companies like Bajaj, Hero, Maruti Suzuki, TVS , Siemens, SLB and many more visited the campus with an average CTC of 12 LPA. All the students in our branch got placed

- High academic pressure may be cause stress sometime
- Competition is too high here so sometime you feel over pressure
- High expectations from faculties which sometimes mismatch

Placement is IIT Delhi is too good as compared to other tiers colleges but you have to always try something new here also your capacity matters a lot to become eligible in different companies placement rounds

The water resource course is so much relevant towards the current scenario and planning of the govt in India and there is opportunity for PhD students to explore the various opportunities in core technical field

- Campus is quite green and it is well connected to Delhi metro and it is in mid city so transportation is good
- Food is also great and college have many hostels in which one can have food while paying a nominal fees also there are many other hotel and small dhaba inside the campus serving tasty food
- Library is quite big and have many relevant books
Dislikes
- Time management- we get little time for other activity. We have more work load
- Grading system can be improved . Students should be given more options
- Security is everywhere making it irritating to show ID card every now and then
Placement Experience:
Placements are good. Placement season begins from the first December and maximum students get placed by 10 of December. A wide variety of companies visit the college both core and non core. Overall package of non core companies are higher even reaching crore lpa and core companies packages are relatively lower.

How are the IIT Delhi hostel rooms?

The IIT Delhi hostel rooms are very comfortable and make you feel at home. The names of IIT Delhi hostels are based on the names of hill ranges of India- Aravali, Girnar, Himadri, Jwalamukhi, Kailash, Karakoram, Kumaon, Nilgiri, Satpura, Shivalik, Udayagiri, Vindhyachal and Zanskar. All the hostel rooms are two-seater. All the rooms are equipped with beds and almirahs. Water coolers are allowed inside the rooms during the summer season. The hostels of IIT Delhi are facilitated with a mess, washing machines, and drinking water supply on each floor. Here are some pictures of the IIT Delhi hostel rooms-
