- The candidates must possess a bachelor's degree, B.E., B.Tech, or an equivalent qualification with a minimum aggregate of 60% or a CGPA of 6 on a 10-point scale and 55% or a CGPA of 5.50 for the SC/ST/PwD category from any university accredited by the UGC.

- IIT Delhi MTech admission is based on the GATE scores followed by COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal) for further selection procedures. The board prepares the merit list based on the GATE score and thereafter allocates seats according to the availability at the institution.
- Candidates may get admission via AMIE/GRAD IETE by completing 24 valid undergraduate credits as stipulated by the relevant DRC/CRC/SRC/PEC, in addition to possessing a valid GATE score.
