IIT JAM 2020 Mock Tests are online practice tests for IIT JAM 2020 aspirants. IIT Kanpur has made the mock tests links available at its official website – jam.iitk.ac.in. Candidates can solve the mock tests to have a better understanding of the actual IIT JAM Exam Pattern. The Mock Tests and previous years’ question papers are an important tool for any serious aspirant as the actual exam demands a planned and detailed approach. This article provides the links for the official IIT JAM 2020 Mock Tests for 6 subjects as well as the links to the previous years’ question papers. Candidates are advised to read the details given below before appearing for the mock test.

Note: This year, IIT JAM is only conducted for 6 subjects, the exam will not be held for Biological Science subject.

IIT JAM Questions

1.
A cylinder-piston system contains N atoms of an ideal gas. If 𝑡𝑎𝑣𝑔 is the average time between successive collisions of a given atom with other atoms. If the temperature T of the gas is increased isobarically, then 𝑡𝑎𝑣𝑔 is proportional to :

    • \(\sqrt{T}\)
    • \(\frac{1}{\sqrt{T}}\)
    • T
    • \(\frac{1}{T}\)

    2.
A one-dimensional infinite square-well potential is given by:
    \(v(x)=0\,\,for\,\,-\frac{a}{2}<x<+\frac{a}{2}\)= ∞ elsewhere
Let 𝐸𝑒 (𝑥) and ψ𝑒 (𝑥) be the ground state energy and the corresponding wave function, respectively, if an electron (e) is trapped in that well. Similarly, let 𝐸µ(𝑥) and ψµ (𝑥) be the corresponding quantities, if a muon (µ) is trapped in the well. Choose the correct option:
