Ques. Can I get COEP with the 90th percentile in MHT CET?

Ans. The COEP is among the top engineering colleges in Maharashtra, and the admission through the MHT CEET is very competitive for CSE, IT and E&TC Branches. With the 90th percentile, the candidates will get a rank between 15,000 to 20,000, depending on the shift and the difficulty level of the exam. With this rank, candidates can not get admission into the top branches of COEP under the general category; however, if the candidate belongs to the reserved category, they may get admission and if the cutoff is low.

COEP Admission Chances at 90 Percentile – Branch & Category Wise (Expected)

Branch Category 2024 Closing Rank 2025 Expected Cutoff Admission Chance at 90 Percentile

Ques. What is the rank vs percentile in MHT CET 2025?

Ans. In the MHT CET 2025, the rank of the candidate refers to the position of the candidate in the merit list among all the candidates who appeared for the exam, and the percentile indicates the percentage of candidates who have scored at the same level or below your score. With a high percentile, a candidate will generally get a better rank with more than 99 percentile, which results in the rank below 120.

  • More than 99.9+ percentile is required for top branches such as CSE and IT in COEP, VJTI, PICT.
  • With a 95th Percentile, candidates can get core branches in mid-tier government colleges.
  • For getting a safe admission in good private colleges, a percentile between 90-93 is generally sufficient.
