30 Oct, 2024: Mahindra University in Hyderabad and CEPT University in Ahmedabad have announced that they will allocate seats for undergraduate admissions through UCEED for the 2025-2026 academic year. However, they will not be participating in IIT Bombay's Joint Admission Process for UCEED. See more
IIT Bombay has declared the UCEED 2025 exam date on October 1st, 2024. According to the UCCED 2025 Schedule, the exam will take place on January 19, 2025. The Exam will be conducted in a single shift from 9.Am to 12 PM. The registration for UCEED 2025 will also start from today, i.e October 1st 2024.
- For UCEED 2025 Registration candidates will have to pay INR 4000.
- The exam will be conducted in two parts. The offline-based Part A will include 57 questions (NAT, MSQ, and MCQ-type questions will be asked); the test duration for Part A will be 2 hours. Meanwhile, Part B will be a 1-hour test and include two questions - 1) sketching-based, and 2) design aptitude-based question.
Starting from today candidates can register through the official website at uceed.iitb.ac.in.till October 31, 2024. UCEED 2025 will be conducted in 27 test centres across India.
What is UCEED?
UCEED or Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design is an undergraduate entrance test conducted by IIT Bombay for admissions to Bachelor of Design (B.Des) at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIITDM Jabalpur. The scope of UCEED exam includes – Fashion Design, Interior Design, Textile Design, Ceramic Design, Accessory Design, Game Design, Leather Design, Multimedia Design, Jewellery & Metalsmithing, Graphic Design, industrial Design, etc. The average starting salary is 2 lakhs to 6 lakhs per annum for a bachelor's depending on the industry and skillset.

- A higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Part-B.
- If the above criteria do not break the tie, a higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Section 2 of Part-A.
- If the above two criteria do not break the tie, a higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Section 1 of Part-A.
