The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is conducting the NEET SS Counselling 2024 on the official website – mcc.nic.in. Stray Round for NEET SS Counselling 2024 has been rescheduled, and the revised schedule has been released on the MCC website. The registration and choice filling will start on July 24, 2025. The last date to register is July 27 and for choice filling is July 28.
All candidates who appeared for the exam with an eligible broad specialty degree (MD/MS/DNB) are allowed to participate in the Stray Round of NEET SS Super Specialty Counselling 2024.
- NEET SS 2024 stray round allotment result out on July 30, 2025. Shortlisted candidates must report to the allotted college from July 31 to August 5, 2025. Check NEET SS Counselling
- NEET SS 2024 round 1 and 2 seat allotment results were out on May 21 and June 11, 2025, respectively.
The NEET SS 2024 exam was conducted on March 29 and March 30, 2025. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has declared the NEET SS 2024 result on April 25, 2025. The result is released in the form of a merit list in PDF format.

NEET Super Specialty (NEET SS) is conducted every year by NBE for admission to D.M/ M.Ch/ DNB SS seats. You can pursue NEET SS 2024 after completing your post-graduation in MS/MD or DNB.

NEET SS 2024 scheme of examination has undergone a few significant changes. As per the notification issued, there shall be separate paper groups for DM/DrNB Medical Oncology and DM/DrNB Critical Care Medicine. However, the rest of the scheme of examination for NEET SS shall remain the same.
- A total of 2,447 seats in 156 government medical colleges, private, deemed and Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) will be filled based on NEET SS 2024 scores.

NEET SS 2024: Eligibility Criteria
The basic eligibility criteria to appear in NEET SS 2024 as prescribed by the National Board of Examinations are mentioned below:
- Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree(MS/MD/DNB) or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Candidates appearing for the postgraduate exam in 2024 are also eligible for NEET SS 2024
- Candidates must be registered with MCI(Medical Council of India) or any State Medical Council.
Eligibility Criteria(Foreign Nationals)
Foreign candidates are not required to be registered with the Medical Council of India. However, they shall be registered with the respective authorities of their own country. At the time of admission, MCI may issue a temporary registration to the foreign candidates for the period equivalent to the tenure of the course.
NEET SS 2024 Application Form
Candidates shall complete the entire application process online including the submission online. No hard copy of the application form is required to be sent through post/courier.
- The application process involves filling in personal details, academic details and uploading scanned copies of photograph, signature, and thumb impression
- The application fee shall be paid online after filling out the application form
- The amount of application fee is INR 4250/- that can be paid using online modes of payment like debit/credit card and net banking
- Candidates shall make sure that the payment procedure has been successfully completed as without the payment the application will not be accepted.
- There are no bifurcations for the amount of the application fee in context to the category of the candidate and it will be the same for everyone.
NEET SS 2024 Form Correction
NEET SS 2024 Form Correction can be done by following these steps:
- Step 1: Visit the official website i.e natboard.edu.in
- Step 2: Click on NEET SS 2024
- Step 3: Login into your account using the login credentials.
- Step 4: Make edits and submit the form.
Candidates will not be allowed to make edits to the following details, however, all other remaining particulars can be edited.
- Name of the candidate
- Email ID
- Nationality
- Test city.
NEET SS 2024 Admit Card
The admit card for NEET SS 2024 has been released online. The admit card can be downloaded from the official website only and no hard copy of admit card will be sent through post to any candidate.
- Without an admit card no candidate shall be allowed to enter the examination center to take the examination.
- Admit cards can be downloaded from the official website by entering the user id and password generated at the time of filling out the application form.
- Admit card is one of the most important documents as it contains the details of the schedule and venue of examination and all the personal details of the candidates.
- The admit card also contains the details of the preferred specialty for which the candidate is appearing in the examination.
NEET SS 2024 Exam Pattern
As per NEET SS 2024 exam pattern, the paper is group based and questions are asked only from the broad specialty primary feeder. Every candidate can choose any of the super specialty as per feeder subject.NEET SS 2024 exam pattern has been mentioned below:
- The question paper shall be separately prepared for single and combined specialties.
- The questions will be in an MCQ pattern having 4 options for each question.
- There will be two sections of the question paper and the medium of examination will be English.
- The total number of questions will be 150 and each question will carry 4 marks.
- One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer as a penalty.
- The duration of the examination will be 2 hours 30 minutes.
All the questions will be in MCQ pattern. Every question will have four options out of which one will be the correct answer and the remaining three will be incorrect. For every correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded and 1 mark will be deducted as a penalty for each incorrect answer. Total number of questions are 150 and time allotted for the paper is 2 hours 30 minutes.
- The candidates can attempt any question randomly as there are no sectional time limit or restrictions.
- The marking scheme for both the sections are the same and both the paper will be in the English language
- Time management is one of the most important factors that the candidates should keep in mind while solving the paper
NEET SS 2024 Syllabus
The question paper for NEET SS 2024 is divided into two sections. The details for each part are mentioned below:
- 40% weightage in context to marks will be in the 1st section of the question paper i.e. part A and 60% will be from part B.
- In part A the questions will be from eligible feeder broad specialty for a particular super specialty course.
- In part B the question will be from a concerned super-specialty or from a group of super specialties relevant to the eligibility criteria.
- The question paper will be separate for each group or super-specialty course
- The entire question will be at the PG Exit level.
NEET SS Syllabus for Part A
Questions in part A will cover the topics from the eligibility feeder broad specialty courses. In the case of one feeder broad specialty course from a single broad specialty the questions in part A will be framed for a single broad specialty. For those super specialty courses that have multiple feeder broad specializations or specialty courses, the questions will be framed from all feeder broad courses. For example, MS General surgery is the only feeder broad specialization for MCh urology, thus part A of the Urology paper will consist of questions from general surgery.
NEET SS Syllabus for Part B
Questions from part B have a weightage of 60% in the entire examination. It will cover the concerned super-speciality or set of clubbed specializations or speciality courses at PG Exit level. Also, it will cover from clinical practice and basic sciences as applied to the relevant super speciality.

NEET SS 2024 Results
Results for NEET SS 2024 has been released online on the official website of NBE at natboard.edu.in.
- The rank for each super speciality course has been released separately.
- Candidates can check their marks scored in each section and overall score and the rank accordingly.
- Those candidates who clear the cut off will be eligible for counselling procedure.
- The dates and other information regarding the counselling process will be released after the declaration of results of NEET SS 2024.
- Minimum 50th percentile shall be secured in order to qualify the examination.
- The cut off criteria is decided by the Medical Council of India which can also change the minimum cut off boundary if required.

NEET SS 2024 Counselling
The medical counselling committee will declare NEET SS 2024 counselling schedule on the official website – mcc.nic.in. Last year around 3400 candidates have qualified in the first round of counselling. The committee will also issue the allotment letters to all the selected candidates. The allotment letters will be available online on the official website of MCC. The first round counseling result can be checked by following the steps mentioned below:
- Visit the official website of MCC i.e. mcc.nic.in
- Enter roll number and security pin
- Click on ‘submit and then click on ‘final result for DM, McH, and DNB SS’
- The allotment list will appear on the screen

NEET SS 2024 Counselling: Documents Required
