The GATE 2025 Engineering Sciences Syllabus is out on gate2025.iitr.ac.in/ as released by IIT Roorkee. The Engineering Sciences (XE) syllabus consists of three sections: Engineering Mathematics, General Aptitude, and Engineering Sciences subjects. Students can choose from either XE-A to XE-H as they are optional subjects, however, engineering mathematics and general aptitude are compulsory subjects.
GATE will be conducted on February 1-9, 2025 (Tentative), with registrations starting in August 2024. While the syllabus can be covered in a minimum of six months, however, it is always recommended to start early preparation.

Tips From GATE XE AIR 1 - Ghanshyam Giris Dhamat
- Daily Revision: Revise all the topics you learned in the day before going to bed. Revising the learned concepts daily will help to memorise easily.
- Practice Questions: Solve sample questions after studying a particular topic in a day. Once you are thorough with the subject, do more previous year questions and test series.
- Understanding Strength and Weakness: Find the subjects which you are good at and which you are not. Allot more time for topics of the weaker subject.
