CBSE Class 10 Paper Analysis 2024: CBSE has commenced class 10 board exams on February 15, 2024. More than 39 Lakh students are appearing for CBSE board exams this year. Now, CBSE has almost concluded class 10 board exams with Maths paper on March 11. This year, CBSE Class 10 Exams 2024 were easier as compared to the previous year.

You can check the detailed CBSE Class 10 Paper Analysis for each subject in this article. We have provided the difficulty level and CBSE Class 10 Question Paper 2024 for each subject here. Each exam carries a total of 100 marks divided into 80 marks for the theory paper and 20 marks for internal assessment. To pass a subject, a student must score at least 33% marks. 

After the exams are over, CBSE will also release the answer key for all subjects on its official website. CBSE Class 10 Answer Key will be available tentatively in April 2024.

CBSE Class 10 Maths Paper Analysis 2024

CBSE conducted Mathematics Standard and Mathematics Basic exams on March 11, 2024. Students reported the paper to be easy to moderate in difficulty level. 

  • The question paper had 38 questions divided into 5 sections.
  • The difficulty level of the exam was easier than the Maths sample paper released by CBSE.
  • The paper was not lengthy and could be completed on time. However, section E of the exam was a little time-consuming.
  • Case-study based questions were easy.
  • The questions were based on the NCERT book.

CBSE Class 10 Social Science Paper Analysis 2024

CBSE Class 10 Social Science paper held on March 7, 2024, was reported easy to moderate. The difficulty level of the exam was comparatively easier than the sample paper and the previous year’s papers.

  • The paper was not lengthy as well. Students were able to complete the paper on time.
  • Most of the questions were asked directly from the NCERT books.
  • There were many questions repeated from the sample paper and the previous year’s paper.
  • The map-based questions were very easy. However, students found the case-study-based questions a little difficult.

CBSE Class 10 Science Paper Analysis 2024

CBSE Class 10 Science Paper was successfully held on March 2, 2024. As per the students, Science paper was moderate in terms of difficulty level. 

  • There were no questions out of the syllabus.
  • About 70% of the questions were direct from the NCERT book.
  • MCQs were moderately difficult and required conceptual understanding.
  • Case-based questions were also easy to moderate.
  • Students called the paper to be easier than previous year question paper. 

CBSE Class 10 English Paper Analysis 2024

CBSE Class 10 English Language and Literature paper conducted on February 26, 2024, was reported to be easy by the students. Though the paper was a bit lengthy, but students were able to complete it on time.

  • The writing part of the paper was time-consuming.
  • The passages in Section A were easy to understand.
  • Direct questions were asked in the Literature section of the paper. The difficulty level for this section was almost the same for different sets.
  • Students also found the Grammar section of the paper to be easy.

CBSE Class 10 Hindi A and B Paper Analysis 2024

CBSE Class 10 Hindi Paper was successfully conducted on February 21, 2024. As per the students who took the exam, both Hindi A and Hindi B papers were easy. However, the paper was a little lengthy.

  • Hindi paper was divided into two sections – A and B.
  • Section A had objective questions. Overall, this section was easy to do.
  • Section B had subjective questions. Since the questions in this section were descriptive type, students felt this part to be lengthy.
  • In terms of difficulty, the section B of CBSE Class 10 Hindi paper was moderate.
  • In the complete paper, there were no questions from any deleted topics or chapters.

CBSE Class 10 Sanskrit Paper Analysis 2024

CBSE conducted class 10 Sanskrit exam on February 19, 2024. The paper was considered overall scoring and easy by the students. 

  • The questions were from the prescribed textbooks.
  • MCQs were reported to be easy.
  • The paper pattern was the same as the official CBSE sample papers released this year.

CBSE Class 10 Science Paper Analysis 2023

CBSE conducted the class 10 Science exam on March 4, 2023. According to the students, the paper was of average difficulty level. Science question paper carried a total of 39 questions divided into 5 sections. Internal choices were provided to students in some questions.

  • Section A – It contains 20 objective-type questions each carrying 1 mark.
  • Section B – This section contains 6 very short answer-type questions for 2 marks each.
  • Section C – In this section, 7 short answer type questions each carrying 3 marks are included.
  • Section D – It contains 3 long answer-type questions. Each question is of 5 marks.
  • Section E – This section includes 3 case-based or source-based questions for 4 marks each. The questions also contain sub-parts.

Students who did not prepare from the NCERT book found the paper tricky. The questions from the Chemistry part were a little difficult. MCQ questions were straight and easy.

CBSE Class 10 English Paper Analysis 2023

The theory exam of English was held on February 27, 2023. Maximum marks for the English theory paper are 80. The question paper contained 3 sections:

  • Section A (Reading Skills) – This section carries 20 marks. The section contains 2 unseen passages carrying 10 marks each.
  • Section B (Writing and Grammar) – This section contains questions on writing skills like letter writing, paragraph writing, notice, etc. The writing section also carries 20 marks.
  • Section C (Literature) – The total marks for this section are 40. It includes questions based on extracts, short answer type (3 marks) questions, and long answer type (6 marks questions).

Overall, the paper was rated easy but lengthy by the students. The questions in the literature section were direct and simple. Reading section was a bit lengthy for students. For sets 2 and 3, grammar questions were easy but a little trickier in set 1.

CBSE Class 10 Social Science Paper Analysis 2023

CBSE Class 10 Social Science exam was easy and balanced. The paper was scoring and nothing was asked out of the syllabus. Though easy, the paper was lengthy as per the students. There were 37 questions in the paper divided into 6 sections – A, B, C, D, E, and F.

  • Section A had 20 MCQs for 1 mark each.
  • Section B contained 4 very short answer-type questions for 2 marks each.
  • Section C had 5 short answer type questions. Each question carried 3 marks.
  • Section D included 4 questions of long answer type. Each question was of 5 marks.
  • Section E contained case-study based questions. There were 3 questions in this section.
  • Section F had one map-based question for 5 marks.

CBSE Class 10 Maths Paper Analysis 2023

The exam for CBSE Class 10 Maths was conducted on March 21, 2023. As per the students, the difficulty level of the Mathematics Basic exam was easy while Mathematics Standard paper was comparatively difficult. The question paper was divided into 5 sections:

  • Section A had 20 MCQs for 1 mark each.
  • Section B included 5 very short answer questions for 2 marks each.
  • Section C had short answer questions. There were 6 questions for 3 marks each.
  • In Section D, there were 4 long answer questions each carrying 5 marks.
  • Section E had 3 case-study based questions each for 4 marks.

Students found Mathematics Basic paper a bit lengthy. Standard Mathematics question paper contained a mix of easy and tricky problems. There were many questions from NCERT book.

CBSE Class 10 Hindi Paper Analysis 2023

CBSE conducted Class 10 Hindi Paper A and B on March 17, 2023. Students reported the Hindi paper to be moderately easy. The paper was not lengthy and could be completed on time.

  • Hindi Course A paper had 17 questions divided into two sections - A and B.
  • Hindi Course B paper included 18 questions divided into two sections - A and B.
  • Section A had MCQ-type questions and Section B included writing part.

Questions from Hindi Literature syllabus were direct and simple. The question paper pattern was the same as the sample papers released by the board.
