CBSE Class 10 Social Science Syllabus 2024-25 has been released by the board. CBSE has uploaded the revised syllabus for the academic year 2024-25 on its official website cbseacademic.nic.in. You can also download the revised syllabus PDF from the link we have provided below.

CBSE Class 10 Social Science Syllabus 2024-25 is divided into 4 parts:

  • History (India and the Contemporary World II)
  • Geography (Contemporary India II)
  • Political Science (Democratic Politics II)
  • Economics (Understanding Economic Development)

The History section includes 5 chapters divided into 3 units. In Geography, there are 7 chapters. Political Science and Economics sections each contain 5 chapters. The total marks for each section is 20 including the map work. 

As per the official syllabus PDF, CBSE Class 10 Social Science chapter-wise weightage is not available. However, students can get an idea of the marking scheme of CBSE class 10 social science by analyzing previous years’ question papers. Check CBSE Class 10 Previous Years Question Papers

While preparing the syllabus, you must also go through CBSE Class 10 Social Science Deleted Syllabus 2024-25 to know the topics you don’t need to learn. The topics have been deleted from Contemporary India-II and Democratic Politics-II parts of the Social Science syllabus.

CBSE Class 10 Social Science theory paper carries 80 marks while 20 marks are allotted to the internal assessment. You need to score at least 33% marks to pass the exam.
