CBSE Class 10 English Syllabus 2024-25 has been released. You can download the NCERT full syllabus from the official website, cbseacademic.nic. The English syllabus is divided into three parts: reading, writing with grammar, and literature. The Literature section syllabus is divided into two books: First Flight and Footprints without Feet.
The mark weightage is divided evenly among the Language and Literature chapters. English Literature carries the maximum weightage of 40 marks out of the total 80 marks for the theory paper. On the other hand, the language section is divided into two parts: reading and writing with grammar. Both parts contain 20 marks each.

CBSE Class 10 English Syllabus 2024-2025
Section A: Reading Skills
This section contains reading comprehension through unseen passages.
- Discursive passage (400-450 words) (10 Marks)
- Case-based factual passage (200-250 words) (10 Marks)
Section B: Writing Skills and Grammar
CBSE Class 10 English syllabus covers the following topics:

The questions from the writing section will include:
