The clubs are very good in Indian institute of information technology bhopal
IIIT bhopal has a very good batch students , all the students are intelligent and have ambition in themself which always motivated me

Dislikes

We don't have separate campuss for us which is very bad
College fest is big disappointment although the seniors are putting there 200 % for doing small small events , but since we don't have our director , taking permission from nit bhopal director is difficult

The senior-junior bond is very good in our college. Seniors are dedicated to help juniors in developing skills, mentoring them about academic and non-academic stuff as well.
Schedule of our college is pretty flexible and very less hectic compared to other IIITs or private colleges. Students have ample amount of time to work on there skills.

Dislikes

There are less active clubs compared to other well established colleges.
We have to borrow sports facilities with MANIT as we don't have our own campus.

Fees and Financial Aid:

So for my particular batch (BATCH 22-23) total Academic Fees is 6.75 Lacs (1.8 Lacs for 1st year and 1.64 Lacs for 2nd,3rd and 4th year). Tution Fees - 135000 Development Fee - 12000 Caution Money - 10000 (Only in First Year) And multiple other charges like examination fee,wefare fund, etc. For BATCH 24-25 total Academic Fees is 10.2 Lacs(2.7 Lacs for 1st year and 2.51 Lacs for 2nd,3rd and 4th year) Tution Fees - 216000 Maintainence Fee - 12000 Development Fee - 14400 And multiple other small charges One Time Admission Fee is - 18840 You can visit Admission section of College's website for detailed Fee structure and hostel Fees (varies according to the hostel you opt for). There is no such category based reservation in Fees. It is same for General,SC-ST and OBC. You can avail Central NSP Scholarship or Scholarship of your particular state if you want to but college does not provide any scholarship from there side on basis of your academic performance in college.

Coding culture is good but it needs to get improved.
Manit faculty teaches us which is a good thing.

Dislikes

There is 1 girl for 50 boys in IIIT bhopal.
We can only use MANIT campus selectively.

Fees and Financial Aid:

I have just joined IIIT Bhopal. Let me first tell you about fee structure fees throughout the course is around 10 lac for our batch (2024-28) average of 2.5 lac per year. However the fees for previous batch wo around 8 lac so I think the fees is increasing per year by 50k. The faculties are okish. You can check the scholarship details on the official website itself. Though there are a lot of scholarships. Placements are good.

Senior's guidence plays an important role in placement . In this clg there is proper instruction given by Senior which helps alot.

Dislikes

NO campus , IIIT Bhopal is situated in NIT Bhopal campus itself
Normal classrooms does not have AC classroom

Fee of this college is slightly high and you can submit fees sem wise as well as yearly . Scholarships are provide in this college u can apply for ur category or state wise . NSP , MP , UP all scholarship are there u can apply as ur need.

Good interactions and support from seniors whenever needed.
Rule of attendance is not very strict for now but can change with time.

Dislikes

College Dosent have a campus,so restrictions on various activities.
College administartion both teaching and non teching is not cooperative with the students in any situations.(Exept for a few)

Fees and Financial Aid:

Fees per year is 225000 per year out of which 180000 is Tution Fees. Hostel charges are different. If the student belongs to SC/ST category then tution fee is not applicable for all the 4 years. Scholarships are available to students based on the states they belong for eg Uttarpradesh, Madhya Prades, Rajasthan states offer scholarships to almost all students. Apart from this scholarshipsare there for students according to govt schemes. Talking about campus employment, there are positions at various clubs of the college, but these do not offer any money. Other than this colleges select students to be the Teachers Assistant based on CGPA, but these roles also do not pay any money. However, as compared to all the IIITs, IIIT Bhopal has the lowest fees for any course.

Placement for sure i like this is the reason for you being here.
Seniors are very good there is nothing like ragging.

Dislikes

No campus and no hostels after first year .
They provide hostel which is too far from the college which waste your time .

Fees and Financial Aid:

According to me, I think fess of the college is very high. Most of the students study here after taking a Loan the total fee per year is approx 209200 which is too much. As compared to what they provide and also, there are scholarship opportunities for MP students and in other states, there are fewer scholarships. on campus internship are given. no financial assistance.

Our coding culture is far better than most of the college. We have two clubs for coding.
Our campus provide about 99% placement percentage

Dislikes

Gender ratio between boys and girls is too bad ... In my IT class we have 7 girls students and 115 boys students
Hostel and mess facilities are not good and the hostel fees are too much

Fees and Financial Aid:

Our college doesn't provide scholarship from themselves. But students can avail any different private and government scholarship. Fees structure is about 2 lakh per annum and btech course can be completed in 8-10 lakh overall. Hostel and mess fees are after that

Facilities are good and there teaching pattern is appreciated.
There is good sports facility and student can also make career in it.

Dislikes

There is no campus of our own thats the first thing i disliked.
Placements are one of the thing i disliked as there are less opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid:

This year's fees of our college is preety higher i.e 1,98,000 per year which includes only tution fees charges.There are relaxation too with various government scholarship program like if we see in MP state there is scholarship named as MMVY which gives 100 percent relaxation in our fees.

The seniors in the college are so helpful.
You can enjoy all the fests of your own college as well as of parent Institute.

Dislikes

There isn't good lab facilities and sports facilities.
No campus life so we have no access to everything present in parent campus.

Fees and Financial Aid:

When I addmited the course fees for 1st Year was 179900 and for other respective years it is 164200. You can get a lot of scholarships with a total 100% tuition costing back. And you can have an opportunity to get stipends from 2nd year if you are eligible and have the knowledge.

Which one is good, CSE from IIIT Kottayam or IT from IIIT Bhopal? I am from Delhi and also knowing that IIIT Kottayam will have permanent campus.

A side by side comparison of both the colleges might help you get a clear view on what to expect once you get there:

Curriculum: The curriculum mentor of IIIT Kottayam is IIIT Hyderabad which is one of the top-notch institutes for CSE in India. On the other hand, the curriculum mentor of IIIT Bhopal is MANIT Bhopal which doesn’t match the level of IIIT Hyderabad.
Closing rank: In 2019, the closing rank for IIIT Bhopal IT was around 41K in the special round. While for IIIT Kottayam CSE, the closing rank was almost 40K at the end of special round-II. You can check the opening and closing ranks for both the colleges in the year 2019 below:

What books are used in IIIT, Bhopal for a 1st year student in the IT branch?

As a first-year student, you will have the same syllabus and books as your batch mates in the CSE and ECE programs. My brother's friend studied from IET DAVV and his syllabus was the same too.

You will not have to study any specialization as of now, except maybe the basic programming in C Java or C++. It depends on what you choose because my cousin chose C++ and didn't regret his decision at all.

If you feel as if you need books outside the syllabus to understand the topics cohesively, then you can consult the following books for the respective topics:

A.S. Vasudeva or Gaur and Gupta for Physics	Boylestad for basic Electronics
B.S. Grewal for Engineering Maths	B.L. Theraja for Electrical Engineering
N.D. Bhatt for Engineering, Drawing, and Graphics	The Complete Reference by Herbert Schild for Java

These are good books on the topics, used by most freshers. However, you are requested to consult Google Books, and YouTube for easy comprehension of the subjects.
