- Good interactions and support from seniors whenever needed.
- Rule of attendance is not very strict for now but can change with time.
Dislikes
- College Dosent have a campus,so restrictions on various activities.
- College administartion both teaching and non teching is not cooperative with the students in any situations.(Exept for a few)
Course Curriculum Overview :
For all the three branches, the curriculum is very good and upto the point. The coursework covers all the necessary subjcets that would be needed for students in future while they are working. However the students have to study these subjects mostly on their own and should not be dependent on the professors of the college.
Placement Experience :
Students become eligible to be in campusplacements from the 7th Semester. Till date many big companies have visited the college like Atlassian, Tekin, Amazon. You can see the details about it on the official website of the college. But recently its seems tough to even get placement at college due to various factors.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fees per year is 225000 per year out of which 180000 is Tution Fees. Hostel charges are different. If the student belongs to SC/ST category then tution fee is not applicable for all the 4 years. Scholarships are available to students based on the states they belong for eg Uttarpradesh, Madhya Prades, Rajasthan states offer scholarships to almost all students. Apart from this scholarshipsare there for students according to govt schemes. Talking about campus employment, there are positions at various clubs of the college, but these do not offer any money. Other than this colleges select students to be the Teachers Assistant based on CGPA, but these roles also do not pay any money. However, as compared to all the IIITs, IIIT Bhopal has the lowest fees for any course.
Campus Life :
COLLEGE DOSENT HAVE A CAMPUS. SO NO COLLEGE LIFE. Students can borrow books for the MANIT library if needed. Infrastructure wise rating should be zero. No big theatre style classrooms, classrooms do not have mics, not enough ventilation in crowded classrooms. Although size is 75 of one branch, most of the times CSE and IT classes are combined, so the number of students is 150 in a small classroom. No canteens, no auditoriums, no hostels from 2nd year, sports ground has time restrictions, no proper sports equipment available, no parks/gardens to sit in campus. College LAbs are just liek school labs with basic computers, no special accessories. College dosnt have a main building so thats very embarassing.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostels are only available to first year students. That too very small rooms with 2 students. Most of the rooms do not have table chairs. If they do there is no space available to keep it. Cleanliness is kept good. Boys hsotel have no time restrictions. Girls have an in Time of 8:30 PM.
Admission :
Admissions are done via JoSSA counselling or through CSAB based on the performance in JEE Mains examination. Admission process is concerned with govt, not with the college. No other exams other that JEE are considered to be eligible to take admission in the college.
Faculty :
There are not many faculties in the whole college but one can definitely reach out to any teacher if needed. Although all of the teachers have PhDs, but most of them are not willing to work at the place or to teach. The teachers expect the students to write research papers under them so as to get more nominations at various press conferences. But even for this work the faculties wont provide with any proper resources or guidance, students have to manage things on their own. About academics most of the teachers are not able to complete the syllabus in class, so the rest part is either dropped or students have to study it on their own from other platforms. When a faculty is good at their work they get promoted to other colleges and leave IIIT Bhopal.
