I opted for an interdiciplinary course and involvs various practical lab as well. In the second year we need to prepare any projects that solves real life problem. Projects options is given by the supervisor you get, supervisors are alloted by the college based on your GATE score. Exams are same as in your graduations Major and 2 Minors along with Viva. At the second year you need to give presentation on the project, the improvements and everything to write in your thesis.

This is one thing where management is very strict, everything is conducted on schedule. If you are attentive in class then you will easily pass the exam just you have to be attentive and go through all the assignments.

There were 2 unit tests before semester exams and if u are sincere and do class regularly then it was not difficult to pass. Every faculty members are quite hardworking and they taught us in a very easy method. They are very good and also the research scope of the institute is very good.

For Mtech Semester fees for 1st sem is 42500 and for next two semesters are 37500 for each semester.And the overall semester fees for 2 years is 160000,all for general category student.Scholarship for GATE is available.Financial assistance for SC,ST,OBC students are available.Campus Placements are quite good this year.MNCs like Amazon,Codenation,PwC,Rebel Foods,etc with good CTC are visiting for campus placements.

Here fees were less than other colleges for sc category. Good faculty student ratio is there, all faculty are PhD holder and they are experienced.there is two exam one is midterm and another one is final one.. if you study well you will easily pass

In our time it was very low. In our time course fee was only 12500 including the hostel residing fee. That means you have to pay only 1 lakh in 4 years of your stay at the college. Fooding in the hostel depends on the food items. Though the hostels used to have a very rich culture in food, i.e. food cost was higher but you can also expect variations of food. Though this fee structure is of before when the college was still a state run University. after becoming the first central funded IIEST course fee is a lot higher now.

- There was no competitive programming pattern in BESU/IIEST until recently. But many students have taken competitive programming platforms such as Codechef and HackerRank over the last few years.
- You can search the Codechef Rating System site to verify it for yourself. You get a college-wise database of the number of students actively engaged in competitive coding and their results using this platform.
Lastly, don't support the myth that the only way to prove yourself as a coder is competitive programming. There are other coding fields as well. In this sense, do not consider that there was no "real coder" in IIEST because there was no competitive coding pattern previously in IIEST (BESU back then).
