The campus of my college is very huge and it feels very nice to be there.
The classrooms, corridors, labs are very well maintained.

The hostel rooms are not very neat and clean.

Admission:

I was admitted through the jee mains counseling. My rank AIR was 8000 and my percentile was 99.2. With this rank I selected my college as I wanted it. I was selected on the very first round of the counseling and so do not have any suggestion for improvement.

I like the greenary in our college unlike other colleges our college is spreaded in 123acres and very spacious
Our college has 4 lakes and it's very peaceful to watch in the evening

Since our college is second oldest college of India , the infrastructure is not that good
The food , we hardly have a good meal the taste is just horrible

I got this through jee mains and the difficulty I faced during the admission process is the did not provide the hostel as per the schedule which brought trouble and since it's not the known place it was hard for us to take hostel till hostel is allotted

JEE Mains needs to be taken to apply for IIEST. Admission is through the JOSAA counselling process. The institute website provides details of the latest fee structure. Being an NIT, it has identical fee structures to other NITs. IIEST follows standard reservation policy being a centrally funded institute.

Good alumni network: Being one of the oldest collge this collge provides ample opportunity to connect through its alumni working in diverse field across the world. They are always helpful to the students asking for any kind of assistance and help.
Proper infrastructure for sports is there. There are 2 large size grounds and there is also facility of gymnasium and swimming pool which is fully functional.

Infrastructure is very old which needs to be maintained immediately, there is bad conditions of hostels and academics buildings in terms of infrastructure.
Placements can be improved, the college is degrading in terms of placements for branches like civil, aerospace etc.

Candidate qualifying JEE Mains followed by JOSAA and CSAB counselling are eligible to join the course. One appeared and has qualified this exam has go through counselling process and on the basis of his/her respective all India and category ranks they will be provided their most deserving branch according to their filled preferences. One can find the application form on the Jee Mains website that is conducted by NTA every year, this exam is a national level exam for entrance in engineering colleges. Reservation is there on seats in the colleges and in the cutoffs according to center's policy to students of different category and PWD students. After counselling the next thing is done is physical reporting to the allotted colleges, in IIEST fee payment during admission is done using cards and there is no portal for online payment at the ease of home, and this need to be improved in admission process.

I took admission in this college through the JEE mains examinations, I scored 98.39 percentile to get here. The eligibility criteria is to be 12th pass with over 75 percent or top 20 percentile of your board and to score minimum 98 percentile in JEE mains exam

I got enrolled in the college through scoring qualifying marks in jee mains. The application process was very convenient. There are separate columns with different sections for various area of interest which makes it easy to toggle between different admission process. Additionally a brochure detailing all the admission process and timings were mentioned for different branches which made this process hassle-free.

IIEST - College that moulds your life

Campus here is amazing. You will experience the best of nature spread across 114 acre with lush green trees, ponds and peace.
Seniors here are very cooperative and the college will help you out. The faculties are keen enough to teach you, and will solve your doubts. Curriculum is up-to-date and the college provides internship opportunities and placements.

The infrastructure here is not how you would expect in private colleges like Amity, or new NITs and IIITs. But considering it being established in 1857, IIEST is well maintained.

To take admission in this college, you need to sit for JEE(Mains). Application form can be found in the official website of Joint Entrance Exam, which usually has 2 attempts(January- February and April). Application fee is 800 for females and 1000 for males. Application starts from November/ December. You need to sit for JOSAA and CSAB counselling, and CSAB-NEUT(for North East States) to get into this college. You can avail reservations under caste, gender, EWS and PWD category. Cutoff for Civil Engineering goes upto rank 63000(general), 1.1 lakh(EWS), 1.3lakh(obc), 1.7lakh(sc) and 3.2lakh(st) by the last round of CSAB. Electrical engineering department teachers doesn't gives marks as other departments teacher gives

I got the seat through JOSSA councelling and for the eligibility you have to secure a good percentile in the JEE main examination, so in 2021 the cutoff for the department of electrical engineering is more than 96 percentile.
