Gender ratio is not good enough here in IIT kanpur

Course Curriculum Overview :

The relevance in first year of the courses is quite less as in first year we even have to study bio and even ethics which are no longer of our use in the upcoming years of our graduation. The frequency of the exams is good . Each subjects 2 quizzes per semester and a mod sem and end sem examination. There is no need of much improvement.

Class Size : 1200Course Fees : INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Many companies give intern to ur college students in the third year like McKenzie, Microsoft etc. I have been doing some fusion 360 projects for the upcoming design and animation interns which is my hobby.

Placement Experience :

There campus placements are very impressive. But in our branch the placement have not been started because it is new branch but it have very promising hopes of good employment in the upcoming years. The companies visiting ar Google, Microsoft and many big MNC. I am thinking of doing MBA after my degree .

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tution fee is around 100000 but then if you are financially weak then I get scholarships of the basis of the annual income of your family. Like u get 66% off if your family income is between 1 to 5 lpa. And a 100% tution fee waiver if your family income is less than 1 lpa .

Campus Life :

It the best thing u have asked. The fests are amazing such as udgodh(sports fest) ,antargini(cultural fest) , techkriti(tech fest). The books are always available. The sports facility is very very good including gym , play ground etc. The clubs are very good like the humour house, hiphop collective,dance club etc.

Hostel Facilities :

We have been given two types of room double and triple rooms. In double room is 1 almirah , 1 desk , 2 tables , 2 beds . In triple room is 2 almirah,2 desk,3 tables,3 beds . The mess fodd is amazing sometimes it is shit sometimes it is heavenly.There is such different processes for hostel registration. It is includes in the main registration only.

Hostel Fee : INR 15390 per year

Admission :

The eligibility of the course are the 2 exams jee mains and advanced of u clear both exams and have sufficient rank u can get admission in my course in IIT kanpur. The application forms can be found on internet. For OBC,sc/st there are reservation benefits also. The exams are held once in a year. They are quite difficult as IIT wants the best students. Improvement can be made in admission process by making it somewhat less complicated.

Faculty :

The faculty is excellent. They have immense knowledge and they share that with students and helps them becoming better. Also the interaction with the teachers is not that good when u are a ug student as they are also busy in their research but overall it is very good.

All about Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur

Placement Experience:

The placement statistics of IITK is great. Every year many 1cr+ packages as well as international packages are offered by top companies to students. The placement percentage is also increasing every year. The students become eligible to apply for companies after 3rd year ie. after 6th semester. The highest package offered was 4cr per annum while the average package was 22lacs per annum. My plan after getting the degree is to get a good paying job and start working.

The optimistic IITian

Placement Experience:

The college offers various placement opportunities. Many companies come and take people. It's usually starts in the month of December in the final year. I can tell about my branch average package is 33 lakhs and about some 90 lakh is highest package. Various tech non teach companies come like Google, Microsoft, sprinkler etc The minimum salary offered is 6 lakh per annum. People can easily get placement outside college because of IIT tag.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is relevant but it maybe little bit hectic in starting. Maths courses are lot theoretical than JEE where you only have to calculate and no matter how. Here you have to write a mathematical essay on a question and essay should be to the point too

The LIFE IN IIT KANPUR

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college is very impressive.From 3rd year onwards students are eligible campus placement.The Students having CPI 7 ARE eligible for campus placements , they wil not see only academics,they will also see in which they have participated,what are they capable in college programs in achieving, does he have leadership qualities or not , these many things they observe while doing campus placements . There are many companies visited to our campus, i will mention some of them like Google, Amazon, Zomato, Microsoft, TCS , ETC... In each branch nearly 150 to 200 offers are made .In my college the last year highest package is 8.9 crores and the average pakage is above 35 lakhs .The percentage of students getting campus placements is 89percentage .And my plan is getting the job in campus placements

Life after JEE

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course as i loved mathematics. And i was eligible to take this course on the basis of jee rank. The faculty student ratio is about 11.This is a top tier institute in India and hence the faculty are highly qualified with post doctorate degrees in thier respective domain from well known universities.They teach in asuch a way that ignites my curiosity in that course.We are taught some courses out of our discipline so we can explore more things.Mid sem exams are held after 2 months of starting of semester followed by end sems after other two months.quizes are held on certain dates keeping into consideration the convenience of students as well as the faculties.
