I was interested in the chemical field so I chose chemical engineering. Faculties here are awesome. They are highly qualified as well. There are two exams in each sem(mid term + end term)+ quiz+ lab+ assignment. Mid-term examination happens 1 month after the start of each semester and the end sem happens 4 months of starting of each sem.

Is just that I able to get that branch and college only like this is the best what I got at the corresponding rank I got so yeah this is the reason for joining and it is pretty well known filled of chemical like PSUs and ONGC are the famous job points and the difficulty level level is moderate here at my college curriculum is good and it's not chemistry. It's physical chemistry like more physics in it bit calculate

I secured 62marks in IIT ADVANCE based on cutoff 43marks, I secured seat in IIT BHU VARANASI, Chemical Engineering Department. Regarding with my marks I choose this course in best IIT college.I don't find any difficult regarding my course. In my class there are 180 members in chemical department.Teachers were well talented and good towards student. They discuss many problems regarding course and life. There are around 50 faculty in my department.Faculty were best throughout my life, they teach in a proper way.Students don't face any problems regarding teacher.Teaching system was very good and every student may understand clearly. For Semester there will be two exams which is termed as MID and END SEMS. Semester takes place within 4months.Mid sem was written in the month of september, which is very important to score good score throughout semester. If we secure good score in mid sem there is no problem regarding end sem. We have attend every labs in the semester. It's very difficult to pass.

I chose this course mainly because circutal cut off went too high and also because I liked these subjects thermodynamics, mass and heat transfer interesting and thats what chemical engineering teaches us. Faculty student ratio is approx 1:50. The faculty are class 1 ie whatever they teach it is completely based on full knowledge and research. They are also able to clear each and every question asked by the top students as well. We have 2 semesters per year and in each semester we have mid sem and end sem exams which are very difficult and the average is always very low but we have relative grading so no problem.

The choice of studying in a college pursuing a particular subject is entirely up to you. Check where your strengths and weaknesses lie and then choose accordingly. Both institutes are good in their own way. But it is your hard work and dedication that will prove if CSE or Chemical will be good for you.
The answer to this question depends on what you aim for after 4 or 5 years of your college degree. If you just want a placement and not particularly interested in a branch then you could go for any of those two branches as placement statistics are good for both in IIT BHU. There are enough opportunities in the non-core sector which generally comprise IT, developer, analytics, product management, business analyst, etc. These sectors don't look for a specific branch and rather require good communication and analytical skills.
Coming to the core sectors, both civil and chemical provide diverse opportunities in these areas. If you are someone who finds chemical processing and chemistry interesting, then go for chemical engineering. If you are the one who gets amazed by the interesting and defying structures, civil engineering should be your choice. According to 2019 placement statistics, 77 students from Civil Engineering and 104 students from Chemical Engineering got placed from IIT BHU.
Opting for civil engineering would open doors to exams such as IES, UPSC, GATE, and other state engineering exams. There are ample opportunities for civil engineering majors. And if you choose chemical engineering, you can go for higher studies or work for PSUs. So, both these branches at IIT BHU would provide enough opportunities to grow and explore and the end decision should be based on your interest.
