Infrastructure of the college very good. Buildings are well built and modern in design. There are numerous high-tech labs
Student bodies are very strong. Also the club culture is very good engaging students in extra curricular activities

Dislikes

Mess food sometimes is not properly cooked. Also the menu options are less.
Academic pressure is high due to which we are not able to participate in sports activities.

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIT Ropar are very good as it possesses a high average package and also has good top placements. Many companies visit our college at the time of placements and students get eligible after the seventh semester for a proper placement and for the internship the student gets eligible after fourth semester. Here almost everyone gets placed in the institute placements making 100% of all. After getting the degree, I am planning to prepare for civil services. Being from a family where everyone is employed in government sector I also want to serve the country.

The restrictions for 11pm no outgoing and little outside campus location

Placement Experience:

The placements are good. But not God for some departments. Many companies like Tata, google, Mahindra, skyroot, spacefield, Vikash group etc. Offer of 35 lac for google. Google 35lac, Vikash group 7 lac and the average for the total could be 8 lac for all departments. 70% Students get placed and some go for start-up and higher studies

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course was chosen due to I have done my post-graduation in material science-related project. That's why i have enrolled in this course. The papers are well related to the research area on which they want to research. There should be some improvement required on the course curriculum i.e there should be some moderns technology subjects must be included and teaching methodologies should be easy to understandable. In a semester generally, two exams were conducted (i.e. mid sem and end sem) and the level is a little bit difficult.

The infrastructure of the college, books facility at the library, and mostly friendly professors(not all of them), the hostel rooms and the bathrooms.

Dislikes

The meal quantity and quality, random WiFi cuts.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There are many companies like Jindal Steels, Google, Bosch, BPCL etc. 95% of the students are getting placed in our college, the remaining 5% are choosing professions based on their willingness, some of them are into trading too. My plan after getting the degree is to start a startup or explore my field of study deeper by completing Masters or Phd.

I like mechanical engineering in the campus as there as too many labs and facilities provided.
The cleanliness and view of the college too good

I don't like food in our campus as I am from South

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester the students are eligible for campus placements. Amazon, Microsoft, Tata, BPCL, Zundal, etc.. these companies were visited our college and they have taken too many students also. The highest package in our campus is 50LPA and average package is 20LPA. 70% of students are placed. I am deciding to go for upsc after my graduation. As I am interested in civil services.

Attendance policy: Attendance is not mandatory for most of the courses. Few proffs only tend to take Attendance seriously
Mess Facilities: We have air conditioned mess and also coed which is good.

Dislikes

Academic difficulty: Its quite though to get a 9 sgpa here at iit ropar
Distance from the main city: Chandigarh is around 50km from here that takes around 90-100 mins to get there.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement starts from 7th sem onwards. Students can appear for placement drives in the 7th semester. I don't have much idea of companies visiting. Some companies like Google, DeShawn, Jp Morgan, Nvidia, etc though visit for placements. Average package is around 16lpa with the highest being 65lpa this year until now. Around 80-90% of students appearing for placement drives got selected this year. No plans for now. Just getting a job is on the top of priority list. :)

Campus placemnr tcan be neglected because placement is for toppers like puchikayala rohith not for you. Become. A stand up comedian because engineering is not for you. What is engineering why did you care about package you will get some job y.be happy with what yo got anyway avg package is about. 10 lakshya

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course according to my rank, IIT ROPAR Civil Engineering was the best one. Faculty: student ratio=1:5 The faculties of this college are highly qualified with degrees from the prestigious institutes of the world. 1 semester is approx 4 months. After 2 months we have mid sems, And in between we have quizzes, viva, etc.
