The fee payable at IIT Ropar is subject to change as per the Institute rules.
All SC and ST students will get a 100% tuition fee exemption.
The most economically backward students, whose family income is less than Rs. 1 lakh per annum, shall get full remission of the tuition fee.
The other economically backward students, whose family income is between Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 5 lakhs per annum, shall get a remission of 2/3rd of the tuition fee.
The SC/ST students whose parental income is less than 4.5 lacs will get a free messing scholarship.

- The night life is good you can get out of hostels even at 4 in the morning .
- Very friendly environment by professors and teaching assistant in the class and tutorials.

- Less availability of food spots.For fruits and clothes you have to go out and buy it.
- Cafetria area is small and new cafeteria is not available till now.

As i am interested in coding so i choose computer science .As computer science have great application in the real life world it can be highly useful for solving today problems.I think some proff teaches this in the very old fashioned style but it is evolved daily

Most courses are really eventful and to the point for the most part. Instructors are engaging and supportive. Real life applications can be improved though. Looking forward for more modern courses to be added.

I have Course Computer Science which mainly deal with coding and problem solving . Along with time you willl learn Coding . And you will also learn real world problem solving skill. I think course is very good . The exams are mainly hanled twice a semester which comes with both medium and hard level questions.

- I like the fast food shops available inside the campus and the canteen of the campus very much

- Less number of trees at the walking paths does making it hard to walk in summers
- The number of eataways are still less And so they have monopoly

I am passionate about coding and my curriculum is the exact fit for me. The courses it comes with are mostly concentrated around mathematics and it's applications via coding. Some courses are irrelevant too like a course on history of technology won't help so it should be removed.

- Infrastructure of the college very good. Buildings are well built and modern in design. There are numerous high-tech labs
- Student bodies are very strong. Also the club culture is very good engaging students in extra curricular activities
Dislikes
- Mess food sometimes is not properly cooked. Also the menu options are less.
- Academic pressure is high due to which we are not able to participate in sports activities.

I chose this course because it offers a wide range of learning opportunities. Also IIT Ropar has a great faculty team of MNC branch and one can easily get a very high placement at this college. The faculty members are highly qualified with great teaching qualities and also are very helpful in nature. The exams are kind of on the tougher side. They are not so tough if we pay attention towards our studies.
