Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum I have studied gave me a brief idea about all the courses. Of all the courses, Bachelor's Degree got my fascination, so I opted for JEE-Advanced and cleared it. Here, in my college, my branch of study Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, helps me to study about various kinds of Materials and Metals available on The Earth, different methods of metal extraction, manufacturing, processing of materials etc.

Internships Opportunities :

From my side, I've applied for an internship named TAANGH from my college, the main objective of the internship is to create an eco friendly brick which would be helpful for easy breathing. The stipend was 30000/-

Placement Experience :

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There are many companies like Jindal Steels, Google, Bosch, BPCL etc. 95% of the students are getting placed in our college, the remaining 5% are choosing professions based on their willingness, some of them are into trading too. My plan after getting the degree is to start a startup or explore my field of study deeper by completing Masters or Phd.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

My tution fee is Nil (it is free for students who availed reservation), for students Open Category students the fee is 1Lakh per year. There is NSP(National Scholarship Programme), Kotak Kanya Scholarship Programme, etc. available for students.

Campus Life :

There are three fests held in our college. The name of our annual fest is Zeitgeist held January, technical fest is Advitiya held in February, sports fest is Aarohan held in March. There are many novels like, One night at the call centre, Misfit Madhu, The Namesake, Life of Pi etc., many autobiographies like, Wings of Fire etc. There are projectors in our classroom which makes teaching easy. Many sports and games like, Cricket, Volleyball, Football, Badminton, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis are available.

Hostel Facilities :

There's a free WiFi facility given for each room, along with almirahs, tables, chairs and beds provided. Menu is quite satisfactory, but the quality of meal should be improved, for this we have a review system, in which we can write reviews if something goes bad in the matter of food. Registration for hostel is done at the time of admission itself.

Admission :

To avail my course of study one has to clear JEE-Advanced. Because I availed reservation of SC, my cutoff was 43 marks. In order to write JEE-Advanced one has to clear JEE-Mains. After clearing JEE-Advanced, one has to sit in NTA counseling to get admission in my college. After getting admission, we have to submit certificates, which would be mentioned in the college website, then with the required certificates we have to come to college to register for the course. Upon submission of certificates, we should register for the course and pay the fees(reservation is applicable).

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was doing bachelor of Technology in computer science. Starting from the classroom to the computer labs , everything is available and well maintained. You learn programming and languages with the help of faculty and for every student there is computer available with all equipments. In a week, there are 3 days of computer lab practice and 3 days for classwork. The professor tests and skills very often and if there is any inefficiency , he/she will help you to correct it. The curriculum at Shaheed Udham Singh College of Engineering and Technology is thoughtfully designed to provide a comprehensive education that balances theoretical foundations with practical applications. The courses are continually updated to reflect the latest advancements in technology and industry trends, ensuring that students receive a modern and relevant education. Each program offers a well-rounded mix of core subjects, electives, and hands-on projects that allow students to tailor their learning experiences to

In- campus placement is not that good it is below average as they have taken way too many admissions their placements are not even to rely on they dont provide with good companies coming for selection average placement in CSE in 3-4 lpa they focus on theoretical knowledge more than the practical knowledge so no students are ready for the placement criterias and at last they fail as predicted

From 7th sem for the degree and 6th for the diploma and 4th sem for the Mtech Students. Placements are about average and this year 2023 the placement ratio is growing faster and about 70 percent of the students from each branch got at least an average package. 20LPA is the highest in the history of SLIET offered by Microsoft. I have already been placed in HCL and Cognizant-like MNCs. So focus on the only job now.

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good in Chitkara. The placement procedure starts in the 6th semester of our college and goes until you are graduated (8th semester). Need to mention that Chitkara holds a record of 100% placement. Every student gets placed here. Companies offer anything between 3lpa - 12lpa. But you need to study a bit for getting placed. Note that college cannot force a company to recruit students. Companies recruit based on tests and interviews that they conduct. My plans after getting a degree will be to work for the company I've been placed in.
